Abstract: Word correlations are estimated using a content-based method, which uses visual features of image representations of the words. The image representations of the subject words may be generated by retrieving images from data sources (such as the Internet) using image search with the subject words as query words. One aspect of the techniques is based on calculating the visual distance or visual similarity between the sets of retrieved images corresponding to each query word. The other is based on calculating the visual consistence among the set of the retrieved images corresponding to a conjunctive query word. The combination of the content-based method and a text-based method may produce even better result.

Abstract: An identity management method, apparatus, and computer readable article of manufacture tangibly embodying computer readable instructions for executing the identity management method. The method includes: creating an association table to record a first session ID between the user and the first Web application, a second session ID between the user and the second Web application, and an association of the IDs; sending a session ID request containing the first session ID by the first Web application to a return module; receiving the session ID request and searching by the return module for the associated second session ID in the association table according to the first session ID; and returning the second session ID to the first Web application, thereby providing identity management for a user in a Web environment in which a first Web application accesses a second Web application on behalf of the user.

Abstract: The aspects enable a processor to concurrently execute a first serial language code (e.g., HTML) embedding a second serial language code (e.g., JavaScript®) during a page load operation by a browser. A parser parses the first serial language code until a segment of the embedded second serial language code is encountered. The segment of embedded second serial language code is extracted for execution by an execution engine, which proceeds concurrently with speculative parsing of the first serial language code. Code generated by execution of second serial language code is evaluated to determine if it is well formed, and a partial rollback and re-parsing of the first serial language code is performed if the code is not well formed.

Abstract: A humidifier for adding humidity to an air stream of an HVAC system includes a housing configured to be mounted to a surface of an HVAC duct. The housing may be configured to hold a humidifier pad in an operating position. The housing may direct air through the humidifier pad from a first major surface to a second major surface of the pad. In the operating position, the first and second major surfaces of the humidifier pad may be substantially non-parallel with the surface of the HVAC duct when the housing is mounted to the surface of the HVAC duct. In some cases, this may provide a more compact design. In some cases, a centrifugal fan, rather than an axial fan, may be used to draw air into the humidifier from the HVAC duct. The use of a centrifugal fan may reduce the noise associated with the operation of the humidifier.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for detection of Ethernet segment protection, and this method includes: configuring a detection point in two segment protection domains with a shared link; configuring a joint monitor group on the shared link of said two segment protection domains; and judging whether the configured detection point and the joint monitor group receive a Continuity Check Message (CCM) in a certain period, if the CCM message is received, determining a detected segment corresponding to this CCM message is normal; if the CCM message is not received, determining the detected segment corresponding to this CCM message has a fault. The present invention further discloses a system for detection of Ethernet segment protection, including: a detection point configuration unit, a joint monitor group configuration unit and a judgment unit. The method and system of the present invention can solve the problem of the segment protection in the case of the multi-node fault and greatly improve the network performance.
