Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may monitor multiple synchronization signal resources, each synchronization signal resource associated with a beam of a set of beams and may determine that multiple candidate beams of the set of beams satisfy a channel quality threshold. The UE may transmit an indication that the multiple candidate beams satisfy the channel quality threshold. For example, the UE may transmit a single random access message on a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource associated with multiple candidate beams, or may transmit multiple random access messages, each one on a different PRACH resource associated with a different candidate beam. The UE may receive an indication of one of the candidate beams from the base station and may establish a connection with the base station using the indicated candidate beam.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a network entity to schedule two occasions. A first occasion may be for measurement or reporting, such as radio resource management (RRM) measurement or reporting, and a second occasion may be for communication with an energy harvesting (EH)-capable device. The UE may identify a conflict resolution scheme for resolving a scheduling conflict between the first occasion and the second occasion. The UE may communicate in accordance with the conflict resolution scheme.

In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station, before a next paging occasion (PO) of a paging cycle, a page indication (PI) in a first PI location associated with the next PO, wherein the PI comprises at least one repetition of a plurality of repetitions of the PI transmitted in the first PI location on each of a plurality of beams, and decodes the PI to determine whether or not the UE is paged in the next PO.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a network node (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may operate according to an operational state during which the network node is unavailable for communicating information. The network node may modify timing to account for the operational state. For example, a first network node (e.g., a UE) may receive, from a second network node (e.g., a network entity or base station), timing information corresponding to a timer. If a duration of the timer at least partially overlaps in time with a duration of the operational state for the first network node, the first network node may modify at least one of the timing information or the duration of the operational state. The first network node may communicate with the second network node in accordance with the modified timing information or the modified duration of the operational state.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for paging occasion (PO) and paging early indication (PEI) configurations. In particular, the present disclosure provides techniques for configuring various paging parameters on different types of user equipments (UEs), including, such as, reduced capability (RedCap) UEs. Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques to achieve inter-base station beam management to avoid interference during full-duplex (FD) operations, half-duplex (HD) operations, flexible time-domain duplexing (TDD), or a combination thereof, by performing interference management specific to beam configurations. For example, a first base station (e.g., an aggressor base station operating in FD) may perform one or more actions to proactively determine if inter-base station interference may occur. In some cases, the aggressor base station may request measurements from one or more victim base stations. In other examples, the victim base station may request measurements from the aggressor base station. Additionally or alternatively, the victim base station may provide reactive feedback to the aggressor base station upon detecting interference.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may request to change its radio resource control (RRC) parameters by transmitting a UE assistance information message to a base station. However, the existing RRC parameters that a UE may request to change via a UE assistance information message may not be inadequate for some UEs and may cause a high signaling overhead. The apparatus transmits the UE assistance information message, wherein the UE assistance information message is based on at least a portion of the set of parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein relate to a user equipment (UE) that may include a wakeup radio in addition to a main radio to monitor for wakeup signals while the UE is in a sleep mode. The wakeup radio receiver may use less power than the main radio. In some examples, a first UE may indicate to a wireless node (e.g., a controlling sidelink UE or a network entity) that the UE is capable of sending wakeup signals to a second UE. In such examples, the wireless node may transmit a wakeup signal intended for the second UE to the first UE based on the capability report. The first UE may relay the wakeup signal to the second UE. Responsive to receiving the wakeup signal, the second UE may wake up the main radio of the second UE for communications.

In some systems, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may support one or more mechanisms according to which the UE and the network entity may avoid glitches in latency-sensitive traffic and reduce ambiguity relating to scheduling and resource use expectations for configured grant (CG) periods including multiple shared channel occasions. Such mechanisms may include a rule according to which the UE and the network entity expect spans of shared channel occasions within different CG periods to avoid overlapping in time. The rule may preclude any time domain overlapping between spans of shared channel occasions within different CG periods or may allow for a time domain overlapping between spans of shared channel occasions within different CG periods and instead indicate how a UE is expected to use shared channel occasions of overlapping spans of shared channel occasions.
