Abstract:
A test plug for use with protective relays has a circuit that when it detects an overvoltage on the secondary side of a current transformer limits the overvoltage amplitude and the occurrence of the overvoltage to a predetermined number of peaks that are less than all of the peaks that occur when the secondary side is open circuited and the test plug is connected to the relays. The test plug also ensures that there is a continuous flow of current in the relays. The test plug further that has an indicator visible external to the plug to indicate the occurrence of an open circuit transformer secondary and that indicator remains illuminated when the test plug is disconnected from the protective relays.
Abstract:
A current conductor for an electrical device including an electrically conducting central section having a first side and a second side. The central section is configured to receive at least one inserted electrical component. Two electrical conducting shield sections are each disposed on one of the first side and the side and configured to shield against an electric field. The shield sections cover the central section and the at least one inserted electrical component.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a method and device for identification of correlations between alarm messages in an alarm system of a technical installation or a technical process and/or correlations between such alarm messages and operator actions, using a data processing device which has access to recorded historical data which relates to alarm messages and operator actions. The data processing device can use market basket analysis methods to deal with and analyze historical data, which occurs at defined intervals, as a market basket. Quality characteristics can be formed from a relationship between respective operator actions before and after an occurrence of a respective alarm message, and/or from correlations between alarm messages and operator actions, via the data processing device, which has access to the recorded historical data which relates to alarm messages and operator actions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a vacuum interrupter chamber and a method for producing the same according to the preambles of patent claims 1 and 3. In order here to improve a vacuum interrupter chamber of this type and a method for producing the same and the subsequent casting to the extent that the advantages described above are utilized but the disadvantages described are avoided, it is proposed according to the invention that, in preparation for later casting, the vacuum interrupter chamber (1) is provided on the outer surface with a protective sheath (2) consisting of an elastic or elastomeric or plastomeric material, which is applied to the surface of the vacuum interrupter chamber without further expanding mechanical aids by heat shrinkage alone.
Abstract:
An electric power distribution switchboard (1) in which one or more functional units are equipped with a switching device compartment (3) that integrates primary and secondary functions. Within the switching device compartment (3) are included, together with the switching device (37), the current and voltage sensors (36), the position sensors for interlocking, a human machine interface (HMI) and an Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) (4) and the related local configuration point (32) to configure the IED (4). The IED (4) realizes functional unit supervision, control, protection, communication and monitoring and acts as a concentrating point of functional unit information and decisions. The switchboard (1) of the invention further comprises power supply section, an I/O section and a communication system.
Abstract:
A high-voltage device includes a conducting element for conducting a high-voltage current and at least one transient reducing unit for reducing voltage peaks of existing propagating very fast transients (VFTs) by the generation of arcing. The transient reducing unit has at least one arcing occurrence surface. The at least one arcing occurrence surface of the at least one transient reducing unit is positioned in the vicinity of the conducting element such that arcing occurs between the transient reducing unit and the conducting element when the potential difference between the transient reducing unit and the transient conducting element is above a threshold value, such as at the occurrence of a very fast transient. A method is also provided for equipping a high-voltage device with the transient reducing unit.
