Abstract: An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror head having a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element, and a mirror mounting structure configured to adjustably mount the mirror head at an interior portion of a vehicle. A receiving portion of the mirror head is configured for receiving a portable self-contained garage door opening module at least partially thereat. The module is operable to wirelessly transmit a radio frequency signal responsive to actuation of a user input of the module. With the module at the receiving portion of the mirror head, the user input is accessible by the vehicle driver. A cover element is configured to detachably attach at the mirror casing at the receiving portion to releasably secure the module at the mirror head, with the module being releasable from the mirror head when the cover element is detached from the mirror casing.

Abstract: A vehicular interior rearview mirror system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having a casing and an electrochromic reflective element, with a video display screen disposed in the casing behind the electrochromic reflective element. With the interior rearview mirror assembly mounted at the interior cabin portion of the vehicle, the video display screen is operable to display video images that are viewable through a transflective mirror reflector of the electrochromic reflective element by a driver of the vehicle. A rearward-viewing video camera is disposed at a rear portion of the vehicle and control circuitry is disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly. Image data captured by the rearward-viewing video camera is provided via a coaxial cable to the control circuitry, which is operable to control the video display screen to display video images that are derived, at least in part, from the captured image data.

Abstract: An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element having a first glass substrate and a second glass substrate with an electro-optic medium sandwiched therebetween and bounded by a perimeter seal. A front substrate has a rounded perimeter edge region that has a radius of curvature of at least 2.5 mm and that spans between a front side and a rear side of the front substrate. The rear side of the front substrate is adhesively attached at a first surface of the first glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. The rounded perimeter edge region of the front substrate is exterior the mirror casing and provides a smooth continuous transition between the front side of the front substrate and a side wall surface of the mirror casing.

Abstract: A vehicle function control system includes a sensing and projecting module disposed at an exterior portion of the vehicle and having an illumination source operable to project a plurality of icons onto a ground area at or near the vehicle or an exterior surface of the vehicle, with each of the projected icons being representative of a respective vehicle function. The module includes a sensing device operable to sense the presence of a user at or near one of the projected icons and, responsive to the sensing of the presence of the user, the system determines which of the projected icons is being selected by the user. A control is responsive to an output of the sensing device and, responsive to determination of the user at or near a selected particular projected icon, the control controls a function of the vehicle associated with the selected particular projected icon.

Abstract: A vehicular rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head having a mirror casing and an electro-optic mirror reflective element. A mirror casing sidewall has a terminal end region that circumscribes an open end of the mirror casing and has a rounded end region surface. A first substrate of the reflective element has a rounded circumferential perimeter region extending at least partially between a front surface and a rear surface of the first substrate and having a first radius of curvature. The rounded surface of the mirror casing has a second radius of curvature. The substrate thickness of the first substrate is less than the first radius of curvature. The rounded surface of the mirror casing and the rounded circumferential perimeter region of the first substrate combine to provide a curved transition between the front surface and the outer surface of the mirror casing.

Abstract: A slider window assembly for a vehicle includes at least one fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable along an upper rail and a lower rail at the at least one fixed window panel between an opened position and a closed position. The lower rail includes a U-shaped channel and an attaching structure for attaching the lower rail at the at least one fixed window panel. The lower rail includes a plurality of water drainage channels established at the attaching structure and having an inlet at a wall of the U-shaped channel. A plurality of water diverters are established at the U-shaped channel and are configured to divert water flowing along the U-shaped channel toward the side of the channel along which respective inlets for respective water drainage channels are disposed.

Abstract: A slider window assembly for a vehicle includes at least one fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable along upper and lower rails at the fixed window panel(s). The lower rail includes a U-shaped channel and an attaching side for attaching the lower rail at the fixed window panel(s). The lower rail includes a water drainage channel established at the attaching side and having an upper water drainage channel and a lower water drainage channel. The upper water drainage channel has an inlet at an upper edge of the lower rail at the fixed window panel. Water flowing along the upper edge of the lower rail flows into the upper water drainage channel and down the upper water drainage channel and into and along the lower water drainage channel and out of the slider window assembly.

Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes at least one vehicle camera disposed at a vehicle so as to have a field of view exterior of the vehicle and a control that includes an image processor operable to process image data captured by the vehicle camera. An aerial platform is disposed at the vehicle and is operable to detach from and fly above the vehicle. The aerial platform includes at least one drone camera that captures image data and the image data captured by the drone camera is communicated to the control. At least one of (i) the image processor processes image data captured by the drone camera to detect objects present in the field of view of the drone camera, and (ii) a display in the vehicle displays video images derived from image data captured by the drone camera for viewing by a driver of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular electrochromic rearview mirror assembly includes a base for attaching at a vehicle, a mirror casing at the base, and a mirror reflective element sub-assembly at the mirror casing and including an electrochromic (EC) cell and an EC driving circuit. The EC driving circuit includes a fixed voltage switching regulator for providing voltage to a power input of the EC cell, a drive transistor connected to an output of the fixed voltage switching regulator for switching the provided voltage on and off, a protection diode connected to the drive transistor and the EC cell, a bleach transistor connected to the power input of the EC cell and to ground, and a controller connected to the fixed voltage switching regulator, the drive transistor, and the bleach transistor. The controller controls the fixed voltage switching regulator, the drive transistor, and the bleach transistor to control the voltage provided to the EC cell.
