Abstract:
A portable terminal selectively includes either a camera unit which has an image pickup section and is formed with an engagement part or a cover unit formed with the same engagement part as the camera unit. An attachment part for engaging with the engagement part is provided in a main body of the portable terminal.
Abstract:
There is provided an image inputting apparatus which allows various processing while minimizing originals to be reset in an original feeder. The image inputting apparatus is provided with a scan processing command for operating only an image reading section and a feed processing command for operating only an original feeder section with respect to an external control unit such as a computer. When the external control unit issues the feed processing command, an image input control section of the image inputting apparatus receiving the command recognizes that the command is a command for controlling the original feeder section and instructs an original feeder monitoring control section to feed the original. Receiving the instruction, the original feeder monitoring control section controls the original feeder section to feed one original onto a platen. As a result of that the feeding process and the scanning process can be specified individually, it becomes possible to scan the original on the platen repeatedly without feeding it even when the original feeder section is utilized.
Abstract:
In a receiver computer 100, a transmission controller 111 transmits user interface data 171 to a transmitter computer 200. In the transmitter computer 200, a display processing unit 213 causes a user interface for inputting print settings information to be displayed on the screen of a monitor 250, based on the transmitted user interface data 171. When the print settings information is input via an input device 240, a transmission controller 211 transmits color image data 271, color-correction source data 272, and the input print settings information to the receiver computer 100. In the receiver computer 100, a print processing unit 114 carries out a variety of processing operations with respect to color image data, based on the print settings information. A color correction element 118 in the print processing unit 114 carries out a color correction of the color image data using the color-correction source data 272 and color-correction destination data 172 read from a hard disk 170. A printer 180 prints a color image, which is expressed by the contents of the color-corrected color image data. This arrangement enables a printer connected to the receiver computer to print a color image based on the print data transmitted from the transmitter computer via a computer network, even if a printer driver exclusively provided for the printer has not been installed in the transmitter computer.
Abstract:
This network facsimile apparatus has WWW server section 12, generates a send instruction page for simultaneous transmission in structured document to provide in homepage format to client 202, and performs simultaneous transmission of image data from WWW server section 12 based on data entered on the send instruction page for simultaneous transmission.
Abstract:
A method of monitoring the operational status of and initiating image processing device control commands on one or more image processing devices from a remote location, said image processing devices each having a control computer for controlling operation of the device, including representing one of said image processing devices at the remote location; posting operational status indications relating to the one of said image processing devices and/or device set-up parameters at said remote location; adjusting the device set-up parameters by generating an image processing device control command from the remote location; and transmitting said command to the image processing device control computer. This method includes the ability to adjust such things as contrast, enlargement/reduction, network configuration and passwords from the remote location.
Abstract:
A multi-function unit includes a printer engine, a logical copying machine carrying out a copying process with respect to a recording medium by the printer engine, and a plurality of logical printers carrying out printing processes with respect to the recording medium by the printer engine. The logical copying machine and the logical printers carry out apparent parallel operations.
Abstract:
A digital photography system includes a digital camera and a digital printer. The digital camera includes an image display and the digital printer includes user interface controls to control the images displayed on the camera and to select images to be printed.
Abstract:
This invention has as its object to allow an authentication process that avoids unnecessary information from being stored in a digital camera irrespective of whether or not a digital camera connected to the printer has a direct print function. To this end, in this invention, in an early stage of connection between a digital camera DSC and PD printer, the PD printer side requests an object which contains a keyword as authentication information of those which are stored and held by the DSC (S29). As a result, after it is determined the returned information contains authentication information, the printer notifies the DSC of its own authentication information (S33).
Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a digital camera capable of deciding display form of the multi-display optimally suited an external monitor on the basis of detecting pixel information of the external monitor connected to the digital camera. In one aspect of the present invention, a digital camera includes a memory that stores a plurality of image frames, a display that shows an image frame, an output means that outputs image data to an electric instrument, a multi-display forming means that shows simultaneously a plurality of image frames stored in the memory, an image selection means that selects a given image frame among the plurality of image frames of the multi-display shown on the display, and a controller that controls such that when the multi-display is shown on the display, only the given image data selected by the image selection means is output from the output means.
Abstract:
A data interfacing apparatus and method of a network electronic device are provided. The data interfacing apparatus includes a data receiving unit to receive execution packet data to execute functions of the a network electronic device data and control packet data to control the network electronic device from a host via a network; a data storage controlling unit to control storage of the execution packet data and/or the control packet data; a data storage unit to store the execution packet data and/or the control packet data; a network processing unit to generate transfer descriptors of the execution packet data stored in the data storage unit and/or generate a control block of the control packet data stored in the data storage unit; and an interface controlling unit to transmit packet data corresponding to the transfer descriptors to the network electronic device through direct memory access and/or transmit packet data corresponding to the control block to the network electronic device, and to receive response packet data from the network electronic device as a response to the control packet data. Accordingly, data is transmitted between a network electronic device and the data interfacing apparatus at high speeds by reducing local bus bandwidth occupancy rates of the network electronic device and the data interfacing apparatus. In addition, it is possible to simplify codes and minimize header information by using a streaming channel through direct memory access to skip pretreatment operations to interpret command languages.
