Abstract:
Hoisting systems are provided for mounting a hub on top of a tower, the hub carrying a first and a second blade forming a bunny ears configuration, and a third blade. The system comprises a crane for pulling up the hub to the top of the tower, and a blade support for supporting the third blade at a supported blade portion. The system further comprises a hub-blade coupling device configured to assist in coupling a root portion of the third blade to a coupling portion of the hub. The hub-blade coupling device comprises a hub mount structure configured to be removably fixed to the hub, a blade mount structure configured to be removably fixed to the third blade, and a connector rotatably coupling the hub mount structure and the blade mount structure. Methods are provided of mounting a hub on top of a tower by using any of said systems.
Abstract:
At least one handling device is provided having at least one floating member with first and second mutually opposite portions between which a transitional surface at least partially extends defining an interior. The device has an offshore part receiving portion therein to at least partially receive the offshore part. The floating member is simply installed in the offshore part so that it at least partially surrounds its outer surface. The offshore part thus floats on the water for being transported to an intended destination.
Abstract:
The assembly includes a tool with a stem having a first end having a projecting portion such as a ring, and a second end adapted to be engaged by lifting equipment. The assembly also includes a stem receiving portion formed in a wind turbine part to be lifted. The stem of the tool is adapted to be freely passed through the stem receiving portion until the first end of the stem is locked to the stem receiving portion, thereby preventing the stem from separating from the stem receiving portion when lifting the wind turbine part.
Abstract:
It comprises a body that has an inertial asymmetrical and/or the body is asymmetrical in terms of geometry and/or mass of with respect to a XZ plane passing substantially through the centre of a wind turbine rotor for withstanding asymmetrical loads acting on the wind turbine. The inertia in sections of the structural member body at one side of the XZ plane may be 50% greater than the inertia in sections of the structural member body at another side of the XZ plane. The structural member may connect the wind turbine tower with the wind turbine rotor and may comprise at least two asymmetrical portions defined on both sides of the XZ plane which may be mutually asymmetrical reinforcing elements.
Abstract:
A winding for a rotating electric machine includes conductive bars having straight parts and end windings and terminal portions of the end windings that are connected together. A protective cap is disposed on at least a portion of each respective connected end winding terminal portion. An electrical insulating material is disposed between each end winding terminal portion and respective protective cap and a seal is inside each protective cap.
Abstract:
A counterweight system for a wind turbine is provided. The wind turbine comprises a rotor hub positioned on a wind turbine tower such that the rotor hub is configured to rotate around an axis, the rotor hub comprising one or more mounting surfaces, the counterweight system comprising: The system comprises a beam comprising a connection element adapted to be attached to the mounting surfaces, the beam being provided with a first steering mechanism adapted to control an orientation of the beam with respect to the connection element. Furthermore, the system comprises a counterweight mass coupled to the beam. Moreover, methods for installing blades to a rotor hub of a wind turbine are also provided.
Abstract:
Methods for installing blades of a wind turbine are provided. The method comprises: providing a blade holder, wherein the blade holder comprises a connection element adapted to be attached to a mounting surfaces and a lifting equipment attachment, the blade holder being provided with a steering mechanism. Then, the blade holder is attached to the blade. The blade holder is hoisted with the blade towards the rotor hub with lifting equipment. The blade holder is attached to the mounting surface of the hub using the connection element. The rotor hub is rotated using the weight of the blade holder and the blade to a first desired position for mounting the blade to the rotor hub. The blade holder is detached from the hub. Then, the blade may be mounted to the rotor hub. A wind turbine blade holder for holding a blade and for use in lifting the blade is also provided.
Abstract:
Method of manufacturing an impregnated metal insert for a wind turbine blade root, the insert comprising an outer surface and an open end adapted to receive a fastening element for attachment to a wind turbine rotor hub, wherein the method comprises covering the insert outer surface with one or more resin pre impregnated fibre layers, and heating for curing such that a resin impregnated fibre layer adheres to the outer surface of the insert. The disclosure is further related to the method of manufacturing a portion of a wind turbine blade.
Abstract:
Said hydraulic turbine includes a wheel which is made to rotate about a rotational axis (X2) by a main water stream (F1) going from a penstock to a suction tube along a flow path that passes through the wheel. Said turbine also includes first means that are placed outside the flow path of the main water stream (F1) and enable the mixing of a secondary water stream (F2), taken from the flow path and located upstream from the wheel, and an oxygen-containing gas (A2). Said turbine also includes second means for injection, downstream from the wheel of the turbine, a water/gas mixture (F3) produced in the first means.
Abstract:
This valve is integrated into a fluid distribution network and enables selective interruption or authorization of the circulation of a fluid. The valve includes a fluid blocking member driven in rotation by an actuator device of the valve and at least one journal, a hollow body inside which the blocking member is mobile and which defines at least one bore for receiving the journal, and a bearing disposed around each journal and inside the bore of the body enabling support of the journal and guidance thereof in rotation relative to the bore, thereby centering the journal. The valve further includes a device for immobilizing and sealing for maintenance the journal relative to the body of the valve. This immobilization device is disposed on the same side of the bearing as the internal volume of the hollow body and is maneuverable via the bearing to go from a non-clamped first configuration to a clamped second configuration in which it immobilizes the journal in the bore and vice versa.
