Disclosed is a system and method for controlling a virtual engine sound of a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle. More specifically, the system includes a sensor for detecting when the vehicle is inside; a virtual engine sound generation portion for generating the virtual engine sound of the vehicle; and a control portion for receiving data detected by the sensor to control the virtual engine sound based upon whether or not the vehicle is inside, and transmitting a control signal corresponding to the data to the virtual engine generation portion.

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for coding a stereoscopic video. The method of coding a stereoscopic video includes coding an original reference image; performing preprocessing based on the original reference image, a decoded reference image, and an original additional image; coding the original addition image based on the original additional image and an improved decoding image obtained by performing the preprocessing; and performing postprocessing based on the original additional image and a decoded additional image.

Provided is an apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving broadcasting data and supplementary data. The method includes: generating broadcasting data and supplementary data for a plurality of predetermined 3D broadcasting services to be provided to users; multiplexing the generated broadcasting data for broadcasting channels respectively allocated to the plurality of predetermined 3D broadcasting services, and multiplexing the generated supplementary data for one commonly broadcasting channel commonly allocated to the plurality of predetermined 3D broadcasting services; encoding the multiplexed supplementary data corresponding to a conditional access system; and transmitting the encoded supplementary data to the one common broadcasting channel, and transmitting the multiplexed broadcasting data to the allocated broadcasting channels.

Provided is a stereoscopic video service providing method using a stereoscopic video stream including first and second video streams in a digital broadcasting system. The stereoscopic video service providing method includes: generating information on the first video stream and information on the second video stream; inserting an identifier of the information on the second video stream into the information on the first video stream; and transmitting the first video stream and the information on the first video stream and the second video stream and the information on the second video stream through separate transmission channels, respectively.

Disclosed is a system for providing an electronic program guide and a method of providing the same, the electronic program guide (EPG) being about a plurality of programs supplied through a digital broadcasting system, including the steps of receiving service information transmitted from the digital broadcasting system, and extracting the EPG information from the service information to store the EPG information; analyzing a user's request and extracting EPG information that meets the user's request from the stored EPG information to produce tailored EPG information; converting the tailored EPG information into speech EPG information; and reproducing the speech EPG information as speech to provide users with the EPG information.

Provided is a method and system for transmitting/receiving broadcasting service. The method for transmitting a 3-dimensional broadcasting service includes: encoding a reference image and an additional image of the 3-dimensional broadcasting service to generate a reference image stream and an additional image stream; receiving a service map table defining the 3-dimensional broadcasting service; and transmitting the reference image stream, the additional image stream and the service map table in real time.

The method includes generating a plurality of first modulation symbols by modulating first information bits; generating a plurality of second modulation symbols by modulating second information bits; generating a plurality of first pre-coded symbols and a plurality of second pre-coded symbols by pre-coding the plurality of first modulation symbols and the plurality of second modulation symbols; and allocating the plurality of first pre-coded symbols and the plurality of second pre-coded symbols staggeringly through a first antenna and a second antenna and transmitting them.

Disclosed are a composition for reducing beta amyloid-induced neurotoxicity by inhibiting β-secretase activity, comprising a dibenzofuran derivative, and a method for preparing the same. Further disclosed is that the combination of the dibenzofuran derivative with a γ-secretase inhibitor or an anti-inflammatory agent shows higher activity with respect to reducing beta amyloid-induced neurotoxicity.
