Abstract: A method for adaptively allocating resource can be simply implemented for reducing degradation of performance by effectively separating operations of sub-channel and time slot allocation and selection of modulation method and sequentially processing each of operations. A method for adaptively allocating resource in a communication system to sequentially process sub-carrier/time slot allocation and modulation method selection efficiently includes the step of a) computing average channel gains of sub-carriers/time slots for each user by using channel gains of sub-carriers/time slots for each user; b) computing average numbers of bits for each user by using required data rates and average channel gains of sub-carriers/time slots for each user; c) computing the number of sub-carriers/time slots allocated to each user and allocating the sub-carriers/time slots to each user; and d) selecting a modulation method with respect to each sub-carrier/time slot.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an echo cancellation and echo channel estimation system that can relay transmit signals without interference with echo signals by canceling the undesired echo signals received by a relay. The echo cancellation and echo channel estimation system is designed to relay signals between a transmitter and a receiver through a relay using multiple antennas. The echo cancellation and echo channel estimation system includes a receive antenna, a preprocessing vector generation module, an echo cancellation module, and a transmit array antenna. The receive antenna receives a transmit signal from the transmitter and an echo signal via an echo channel. The preprocessing vector generation module generates a preprocessing vector and applies the preprocessing vector, the transmit signal and the echo signal, received from the receive antenna, to the echo cancellation module. The echo cancellation module cancels only the echo signal by multiplying the preprocessing vector, the transmit signal, and the echo signal. The transmit array antenna receives a retransmit signal from the echo cancellation module and resends the retransmit signal to the receiver.

Abstract: Provided is a method of fabricating a capacitive touch-screen panel. The method includes preparing first and second substrates having first lateral surfaces on which first and second transparent conductive layers for forming first and second transparent electrode pattern units are disposed. Each of the first and second substrates has a screen region and an inactive region. Second lateral surfaces of the first and second substrates are bonded to each other by an interlayer adhesive. First and second metal layers for forming first and second outer electrode interconnections are disposed on exposed surfaces of the first and second transparent conductive layers, respectively. Double-side exposure and etching processes are performed to form the first transparent electrode pattern unit and the first outer electrode interconnection on the screen region and the inactive region of the first lateral surface of the first substrate, respectively, and simultaneously, form the second transparent electrode pattern unit and the second outer electrode interconnection on the screen region and the inactive region of the first lateral surface of the second substrate, respectively. The first and second outer electrode interconnections are electrically connected to the first and second transparent electrode pattern units, respectively. The method can efficiently reduce the fabrication cost of a touch screen and greatly simplify the fabrication process of the touch-screen panel.

Abstract: A repeater having different input and output frequencies converts a signal received with the input frequency to a first intermediate frequency signal based on a local oscillating frequency for intermediate frequency conversion, and converts the first intermediate frequency signal to a second intermediate frequency signal by performing digital processing on the first intermediate frequency signal. Then, the repeater generates a first frequency tone signal that corresponds to a difference between the input and output frequencies, and generates a second frequency tone signal from the local oscillating frequency for intermediate frequency conversion and the first frequency tone signal. The repeater up-converts the second intermediate frequency signal to the output frequency based on the second frequency tone signal, and transmits the signal.
