Abstract:
A heat energy as a second trigger energy is applied to an overlap portions in such a manner that a terminal portion of a first chain-reacting cure area which is presumed to be generated by applying the heat energy as a first trigger energy to an vehicle-body assembly member overlaps a start portion of a second chain-reacting cure area which is to be generated by applying the heat energy as the second trigger energy to the adhesive agent between the vehicle-body assembly member and the vehicle-body member. Accordingly, the adhesive agent can be made cure surely.
Abstract:
There are provided an adhesive-agent disposing step of disposing the adhesive agent, a first curing step of curing part of the adhesive agent disposed (including an adhesive-agent-disposition providing step of the present invention), a painting step of coating a paint on the works, and a heating step (a second curing step) of applying a heating treatment with a drying device. There can be provided a joining method of works that can ensure a high joining quality and productivity.
Abstract:
There is provided a thermoplastic elastomer composition, comprising per 100 parts by weight of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM), 20 to 30 parts by weight of polypropylene (PP), 7 to 30 parts by weight of ethylene octene rubber (EOR), 7 to 23 parts by weight of propylene butene rubber (PBR), and 55 to 65 parts by weight of mineral oil, wherein a content of said poly(1-butene) (PB) is small parts by weight. Thereby, there can be provided a thermoplastic elastomer composition and a molded member obtained by molding the same, which can be superior in the shape recovery property at the deformation, without deteriorating the tactile quality, gloss-change resistance, or formability of particles.
Abstract:
In a valve operating system in an internal combustion engine, a swinging support section provided at a base end of a rocker arm is swingably carried on a rocker shaft mounted in a cylinder head. A plurality of valve abutments are provided at a tip end of the rocker arm and capable of being individually put into abutment against upper ends of a plurality of engine valves, and a cam abutment is provided on the rocker arm in an intermediate portion between the swinging support section and each of the valve abutments to come into contact with a valve operating cam. The swinging support section comprises a thinner cylindrical portion surrounding the rocker shaft, and thicker cylindrical portions which are formed at a thickness larger than that of the thinner cylindrical portion into a cylindrical shape to surround the rocker shaft and which are integrally and continuously provided at axially opposite ends of the thinner cylindrical portion, respectively. Thus, it is possible to enhance the durability of the rocker arm, while avoiding an increase in weight of the rocker arm.
Abstract:
A valve operating system in an internal combustion engine includes a switchover pin which is movable between an associatively operating position where adjacent ones of rocker arms are operated in association with each other, and an associative-operation releasing position where the associative-operation is released, the switchover pin receiving at axially opposite ends thereof a hydraulic pressure force acting toward the associatively operating position and a spring force acting toward the associative-operation releasing position, a cylindrical roller shaft which is fixed to one of the adjacent rocker arms, and into which the switchover pin is slidably fitted in response to the movement thereof toward the associatively operating position, and a roller rotatably carried on the roller shaft to come into rolling contact with a cam provided on a camshaft. In this valve operating system, at least one of axially opposite end surfaces of the roller shaft formed of a material harder than that of the one rocker arm, which receives the switchover pin, protrudes from a side surface of the one rocker arm. Thus, a wear powder can be prevented from entering into the roller shaft, thereby ensuring the smooth switching-over operation of the switchover pin.
Abstract:
A gap is provided at joining faces of a pair of metal works with an uneven shape when the metal works contact one another for joining. An adhesive agent having a chain-reacting curing reaction function is disposed within the gap. The adhesive agent is cured by an autogenously-generated curing reaction heat caused by an outer energy and an additional heat that is successively generated by the autogenously-generated curing reaction heat within the adhesive agent. A welding portion, where the works contact one another substantially directly, is welded by a laser beam, and the above-described energy for causing the autogenously-generated curing reaction heat for the adhesive agent is provided by the laser beam. Accordingly, a joining structure and method of metal works that can have less limitation in a joining location is provided.
Abstract:
Provided is a core/sheath composite filament for toothbrushes which exhibits excellent hardness, durability and feeling of use when used in toothbrushes, is less prone to falling out when tufted into the tufting plate, and makes it possible to improve stain-removal properties. Also provided is a toothbrush using said core/sheath composite filament. A toothbrush is configured using bundles of bristles configured from core/sheath composite filaments that have a quadrangular cross section in the plane perpendicular to the lengthwise direction and comprise a core (2), which is formed from a synthetic resin fiber, and a sheath (3), which integrally covers the core (2) and is formed from an elastomer that is compatible with the synthetic resin constituting the core (2). Tufts configured from a plurality of the core/sheath composite filaments (1) are tufted in the center portion of a tufting plate.
Abstract:
A frame body comprises a first face portion on which a compressive force acts in case a load is applied, a second face portion on which a tensional force acts, and third and fourth face portions which connect the first and second face portions. The third and fourth face portions are respectively equipped with a reinforcing member which comprises a base portion which is away from the frame body and plural base portions which project from the base portion and are joined to the frame body. The convex portions have plural convexities which are arranged so as to extend both in the longitudinal and sectional directions of a frame.
Abstract:
A converter includes a converter circuit 1 having a plurality of bridge-connected semiconductor switching devices for converting AC power into DC power, a smoothing condenser connected in parallel to the DC side of the converter circuit and a current detector provided in a condenser circuit to control a condenser current flowing through the smoothing condenser to be a set value. The condenser current is controlled to be the set value (e.g. zero) to thereby reduce the capacity of the smoothing condenser and make the converter small.
Abstract:
A long glass fiber filler reinforced resin material for molding includes a masterbatch formed of a composite of a matrix resin with a polypropylene (PP) component and a long glass fiber filler and a diluent resin made from an ethylene-propylene block copolymer. The above-described matrix resin of the masterbatch includes the PP component having a pentad isotactic index of at least 95%, and a melt flow rate (MFR) of the matrix resin of the masterbatch is 100 to 500 g/10 min and larger than six times a melt flow rate of the diluent resin. The long glass fiber filler is in a content of 30 to 50 mass percent with respect to a total mass thereof.
