Abstract:
A light flexible hand grip and method of making with an inner tubular core of flexible rubber with apertures formed therein and an outer tubular cover disposed over the core with a lighter weight annular flexible foam spacer between the core and outer cover. The spacer may be formed by injecting curable material through the apertures. The apertures may be formed by inserting a mandrel in the core, punching the holes and removing the mandrel.
Abstract:
A system for monitoring a patient's EEG output comprises an EEG recorder operative to generate an EEG output indicative of electrical activity produced by the brain of a patient, and an auxiliary recorder operative to generate an auxiliary output indicative of another characteristic of the patient. The auxiliary recorder may comprise a video recorder. An electronic data processor is operative to receive the EEG recorder output and the auxiliary output, the system being operative to generate synchronisation data indicative of when the EEG output and when the auxiliary output occurred with reference to a datum signal. The electronic processor is operative to process the synchronisation data to subsequently synchronise the playback of the EEG output with the auxiliary output. A compensation factor accounts for transmission latency.
Abstract:
A system for providing external notification of a vehicle event to an operator includes a reader device connected to a control unit providing status of at least one vehicle condition with the vehicle having a diesel particulate filter (DPF), a plurality of warning devices connected to the reader device and a power supply connected to the reader device and to the warning devices wherein the reader device receives data via data lines from the control unit, decodes the received data to determine the occurrence of a vehicle event relating to the DPF and controls ground signal lines of the warning devices to trigger at least one of the warning devices based on the detection of a particular event.
Abstract:
A changeable grip 20 for a shock imparting implement grip has a body 22, ferrule element 24, and a sleeve 26. The body 22 and sleeve 26 portions of the grip are threadably connected to the ferrule element 24 which is attached to the shaft 14 of a shock imparting implement.
Abstract:
A hammer device is provided for facilitating the driving, countersinking, and removal of relatively small fasteners, such as penny nails. A hammer includes a handle that can define an on-board tool storage area. A nail start accessory can include a tool portion and a nail holder portion. The tool portion can have a first end and a second end, with the nail holder portion being arranged at one of the first end and the second end. The on-board tool storage area of the hammer can be configured to removably store the nail start accessory substantially within the handle.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention generally contemplate an apparatus and method for monitoring and controlling the temperature of a substrate during processing. One embodiment of the apparatus and method takes advantage of an infrared camera to obtain the temperature profile of multiple regions or the entire surface of the substrate and a system controller to calculate and coordinate in real time an optimized strategy for reducing any possible temperature non-uniformity found on the substrate during processing.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for the removal of exhaust gases are provided herein. In some embodiments, an exhaust apparatus may include a housing defining an inner volume; an inlet and an outlet formed in the housing to facilitate flow of an exhaust gas through the inner volume, wherein the inlet is configured to be coupled to a process chamber to receive an exhaust therefrom; and an ultraviolet light source to provide ultraviolet energy to the inner volume. The ultraviolet light source may provide sufficient energy to at least partially decompose the exhaust gases. In some embodiments, the ultraviolet light source may provide ultraviolet energy until the exhaust gas has cooled below a critical temperature.
Abstract:
A secondary drying process is disclosed for removing residual solvent from drug-containing particles that have been formed by solvent-based processes.
Abstract:
A method of gaming comprising: outputting a plurality of different game accompanying sounds individually during at least part of play of one or more games; and outputting two or more sounds together in response to at least one game event occurring.
