Abstract: In some implementations, a subscriber to an online content management system can share content items that are external to the subscriber's content library. A computing device can include managed content items associated with the subscriber's content library. The computing device can include unmanaged content items that are stored externally to the subscriber's content library. The subscriber can provide input associated with an unmanaged content item to generate a link (e.g., URL, file path, location reference, etc.) for the unmanaged content item. When generating the link, the unmanaged content item can be uploaded to the online content management system and stored separately from the subscriber's content library. The generated link can be shared with recipient user (e.g., subscriber or non-subscriber). The generated link can be used by the recipient to access the unmanaged content item uploaded to and stored by the online content management system.

Abstract: One or more embodiments of a document organization system quickly and conveniently provide digital documents to a user on a client device based on a physical object. In particular, the document organization system can receive an image of a physical document and an identifier from a first client device, identify digital documents that match the physical document, and provide the matching digital documents to a second client device, which displays the identifier. In another embodiment, the document organization system allows a user to bind digital documents to a physical object and later recall the digital documents using the physical object. In addition, the document organization system can store and recall the layout arrangement of digital documents on a client device when binding and recalling the digital documents to the physical object.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining chronotypes for each user within a set of users and providing graphical user interfaces for displaying a scheduling timeline for each user of the set of users. In some embodiments, the disclosed system identifies time zones for a set of users in various geographic locations and determines chronotypes for each user within the set of users. Furthermore, the disclosed system provides a graphical user interface for display that includes a scheduling interface having a scheduling timeline for each user of the set of users that indicates a corresponding time zone and a visual representation of the chronotypes. Moreover, the disclosed system, based on receiving a user interaction via a graphical user interface including the scheduling interface, generates an event based on the time zones and the chronotypes.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for generating and maintaining an intelligent, web-based digital content clipboard for viewing and performing batch actions on copied content items. In particular, based on a client device request to copy a content item from a web-based folder, the disclosed systems can generate and add an item reference for the copied content item to a batch action clipboard. The disclosed systems can perform batch actions on multiple digital content items together with a single web-based batch action. The disclosed systems can also intelligently provide a clipboard element for display that is selectable to view item references representing content items copied to the batch action clipboard, along with a set of available batch actions for performing on one or more of the copied content items.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for managing projects in a content management system. For example, the content management system can create a project folder (e.g., shared folder) for managing data associated with a project. The project folder can be shared with content management system users (e.g., project members) who are contributors to the project. The content management system can store project data (e.g., content items, communications, comments, tasks, etc.) related to the project in the project folder. When the project folder is selected by a user, the content management system can generate a project folder view that presents the project data associated with the project folder and/or project in a convenient and easy to access graphical user interface. The content management system can aggregate project data from various content items associated with the project and present the project data in a single graphical user interface.

Abstract: The disclosed technology addresses the need in the art for synchronizing a content library between a content management system and client devices. Each content item in a user's content library is stored on the content management system and a record of each change to the content library is recorded in a content journal. A client device transmits a synchronization request that a portion of the content journal representing unsynchronized changes be processed to update the content library on the client device. The synchronization request includes a content library identifier and a content journal number identifying the content entry in the content journal last processed by the client device. Synchronization commands are sent based on the content entries not processed by the client device. Updated synchronization data representing the processed content entries is sent to the client device after synchronization is completed.

Abstract: An object management system (OMS) receives a plurality of objects to be stored. The OMS identifies a subset of objects associated with a same time period and a same namespace from the plurality of objects and generates a batch object comprising the subset of objects. The OMS issues a write request to store the batch object in an object storage system (OSS) and stores, for each object in the subset of objects, a data structure comprising an identifier of the batch object and a position of the object within the batch object. Upon receiving a read request for an object, the OMS determines, based on the data structure, whether the object is stored in the OSS and issues a read request to the OSS based on the identifier of the batch object and the position of the object within the batch, if the objects is stored in the OSS.
