Abstract: The present invention relates to an antenna device including an integrated matching circuit being implemented by at least one controllable capacitor for a number of frequencies. The at least one controllable resonating capacitor determines a resonance frequency of the antenna device. An object of the invention is to provide a compact antenna device which can obtain a desired matching characteristic without using a separate matching circuit which limits miniaturization of the antenna system as a whole and forms a factor of limiting the efficiency of the antenna and raising cost when the antenna is incorporated into the terminal.

Abstract: A method of estimating the location of a signal source comprises, by a processing unit: determining ΔΔφm,n which represents a difference between accumulated phases of signals, Sm and Sn, received by at least one pair of the receivers, determining a first estimate of the location of said signal source based on position data and ΔΔφm,n of at least one pair of receivers, said first estimate being associated with an accuracy area, determining data representative of difference in times of arrival of modulation patterns of the signals Sm, Sn, wherein said data comprise an ambiguity, and for said at least one pair of receivers, using at least said data representative of difference in times of arrival of the modulation patterns of the signals, ΔΔφm,n, and said accuracy area, to obtain second estimates ĉSrck of the source location, at least some of them being located within the accuracy area.

Abstract: In existing mobile implementations, there is a disconnect between the mobile device accessing the network and the applicative services inasmuch as the entity responsible for network access, such as the VPN Gateway, differs from the entity governing access to applications, such as email servers and SharePoint repositories. Therefore existing solutions typically employ two authentication methods. Of these, the first may be used to authenticate the mobile device to the VPN Gateway, while the second may be used to authenticate the mobile device towards the applications server. In order to facilitate strong authentication it is often desired to utilize a mechanism that uses or combines two different factors, e.g. “something you have” (such as but not limited to a smart card) and “something you know” (such as but not limited to a password). Most currently available mobile devices offer limited options to connect external devices to them, rendering most “Something you have” solutions irrelevant. For instance, there is no ability to connect a smart-card to a mobile phone.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for underwater use. In one example the system includes an autonomous mother unmanned underwater vehicle (AMUV) and one or more auxiliary unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV). The AMUV is configured for autonomously searching for and detecting undersea objects potentially present in an undersea region of interest (ROI), for generating object information relating to the objects detected thereby to enable identification of at least one object of interest (OOI) among the detected objects, and for selectively transporting the UUV to at least within a predetermined distance from a location of the OOI. The UUV is configured for interacting with the OOI at least within the predetermined distance. Such a system is further configured for providing verification information indicative of the interaction between the UUV and the OOI. The AMUV includes a communications system at least configured for transmitting at one or both of the verification information and the object information.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a computer implemented method of providing an indicator useful for piloting an aircraft. The aircraft comprises an antenna configured to communicate with a transceiver. The method comprises: obtaining an antenna envelope characterizing directions relative to the aircraft for which a directive gain of the antenna exceeds a predetermined threshold; determining a direction of the transceiver relative to the aircraft; calculating a maneuvering range of the aircraft by comparing the antenna envelope and the transceiver direction, wherein the maneuvering range is indicative of eligible orientations of the aircraft for maintaining the transceiver within the antenna envelope; and outputting data indicative of the maneuvering range.
