Abstract: A flying insect station for attracting and killing insects on the exterior and interior of a structure is disclosed. The flying insect station includes features for attracting and killing files within a shortened window of time, preferably within one hour. The station includes in one aspect a surface being substantially dark in color and substantially reflective in nature to provide a facade of an opening. Suppression means such as a pesticide is included on one or more of the surfaces of the station for killing flying insects staging on the surface(s). An attractant may be used to provide a plume of attractant around surfaces of the housing to attract and lure flying insects to stage about a reflective surface.

Preferably, the enzyme compositions included in the cleaning compositions comprise a cellulase, an AA9 polypeptide having cellulolytic enhancing activity, a hemicellulase, an esterase, an expansin, a laccase, a ligninolytic enzyme, a pectinase, a peroxidase, a protease, a swollenin, or a combination or mixture thereof. The compositions are useful for degradation of bacterial cellulose.

Abstract: Treatment compositions for the treatment of flowable solid polymer bodies and surfaces that come into contact with them comprise a first nonionic surfactant and a second nonionic surfactant. The first nonionic surfactant comprises a plurality of ethylene oxide groups and a plurality of butylene oxide groups. The second nonionic surfactant is different from the first nonionic surfactant and comprises a plurality of ethylene oxide groups. Treatment of flowable solid polymer bodies with the treatment composition may reduce the adhesion of the flowable solid polymer bodies to one another, and treatment of containment surfaces may reduce adhesion of flowable solid polymer bodies thereto. In the manufacture of flowable solid polymer bodies, the treatment composition may be added to the cooling water of a polymer extrusion process to inhibit fouling of surfaces contacted by the cooling water by the bodies. The treatment compositions do not exhibit undue foaming.

Abstract: Medical device reprocessing systems, such as endoscope reprocessing systems, can include a processing chamber configured to receive one or more medical devices to be cleaned and a spray arm assembly configured to rotate relative to processing chamber. The spray arm assembly can include a spray arm and a passive emitter. A non-contact receiver coupled to the processing chamber can detect the presence of the passive emitter, and a controller in communication with the non-contact receiver can detect when the passive emitter is positioned at the detectable position proximate the non-contact receiver and increment a count of detected rotations of the spray arm assembly each time the passive emitter is positioned at the detectable position proximate the non-contact receiver and compare the count to an expected count. If the count is lower than expected, the controller can output an alert or shut down the system.
