The invention relates to a cooled calibrating device for a plastic extrusion facility, comprising a housing (5) receiving a cooling liquid (2) and calibrating guides (6) through which a plastic profile (1) is passed, in addition to inlet and outlet holes (10, 23) having attached lines for the cooling liquid, wherein an area (21) free of liquid and filled with air remains above the level of the cooling liquid. An outlet hole (10) for the cooling liquid is arranged at the height of the cooling liquid level (20) in the calibrating device so that the cooling liquid can flow out without an additional pump. An outlet line (11) attached to the outlet hole extends vertically and ends in a cooling liquid reservoir (12) that is subjected to an external atmosphere, wherein a compact liquid column (24) is formed in the outlet line (11).

A lock for a firearm that includes two locking elements located on either side of the trigger guard. One of the locking elements contains a plug-in unit and the other of the locking elements contains a receiver in mating contact with the plug-in unit via a meshing toothed arrangement. A handle attached to the plug-in unit rotates 90 degrees to unmate the toothed arrangement. Rotation of the handle by 90 degrees after a combination lock located in the handle is unlocked results unmating of the toothed arrangement.

A permutation lock, in particular for suitcases or the like, having a plurality of number disks (12) which can be turned by rotation into the combination opening position and an operating handle upon the opening displacement of which the combination set is changed. In order to obtain a simple solution which is advantageous in use, each number disk (12) has associated with it a cam (45) which turns the number disk into a given basic position other than the combination upon displacement of the operating handle (35).

A lock for cabinets wherein a lock component is attached to one element of the cabinet and a counter-locking component is attached to another element. The lock component includes a hook-shaped latching bolt which is slidable and swivelable to become engaged with and disengaged from the counter-locking component. The latching bolt is held in a latching position by a locking bolt part of a permutation lock, and also by a retaining mechanism in the form of a heart-shaped endless cam slot which effects a release of the latching bolt only in response to a displacement of the latter in a door-closing direction.

A process for producing styrene by the dehydrogenation of ethyl benzene whereby the ethyl benzene in a mixture with steam is introduced into a tubular reactor, the tubes of which are heated by molten salts. The structural parameters of this process are the tube diameter which should be 20 to 35 millimeters, the temperature of the molten salts which should be 580.degree. to 660.degree. C. and at most 20.degree. C. higher than the reaction temperature at the catalyst and the weight ratio of steam to ethyl benzene of the feed stock which should be 0.5 to 1. The process saves energy and increases efficiency by reducing the steam consumption.

A locking device having a locking cylinder and a key. The locking cylinder includes a cylinder core with tumblers in a cylinder core, which is rotatably mounted in a cylinder housing. Standard coding for the key is produced by a step with longitudinal profiling on at least one flat side of the edge profile of the key, said step being associated with a counter step on the tumbler. In addition to the standard coding produced by step and counter step, the key has at least one set of beveled edge coding in a corner section of the edge profile. The beveled edged coding consists of recesses in the form of beveled cuts in the corresponding corner sections of the edge profile, relative to which are provided counter touching points in the corresponding tumbler. In a section of the key shaft, either the standard coding or beveled edge coding can optionally be used, thereby considerably increasing the diversity of the locking device while retaining the space-saving design.
