The abrasive media are formed from a synthetic resin material, and contain a compound and abrasives within the formed synthetic resin material. A method of manufacturing such abrasive media is also disclosed. The method includes providing abrasives, synthetic resin and compound in their respective specific proportions, stirring them into a uniform mixture, placing the mixture into a mold, and thermosetting the same within the mold, and then removing it from the mold.

    摘要: In the centrifugal barrel finishing machine of the type having X barrel assemblies, in which X is an integer, a method finishing workpieces whereby during a given total finishing time Y of the workpieces, each succeeding assembly containing finished workpieces is to be replaced with another assembly containing unfinished workpieces at the end of each time interval of Y/X. The workpieces in each succeeding assembly are finished X number of times each of which is for a duration of time equal to Y/X. In this way, the workpieces in each succeeding assembly can be replaced with workpieces to be finished as the finishing in the preceding unit has been completed, thereby permitting a continuous finishing process and barrel assembly replacement for each succeeding assembly without the need for exchanging the mass in all the barrel assemblies at the same time.

    摘要: A workpiece handling machine having an annular barrel structure capable of vibration caused by a plurality of vibration suppliers equipped with unbalancing weights includes a sensor system which is sensitive to any difference between the reference rotational angular phase of one unbalancing weight and those of the other unbalancing weights, and a control system which is responsive to the detected signals of the sensor system for providing an analog or digital feedback control, which adjusts the phase difference to the target value. As such, not only is the synchronized phase of rotation permitted, but also the advance angle of the unbalancing weights with regard to each other can be chosen, depending upon the operational requirements such as the kind of the workpiece and abrasive media, the workpiece working conditions, the time period of the operation, and other parameters.

    摘要: Any part of an abrasive media in a solid particle or liquid form is prevented from entering a seal and/or the area where a rotary shaft bearing for a rotating barrel is sealed, thereby protecting the bearing and/or its seal against any possible damage that may be caused by abrasive media. A the barrel finishing operation performed by rotating a rotating barrel rotatably mounted inside a cylindrical stationary barrel on a lower portion thereof in a spaced relationship to the stationary barrel. The stationary barrel has an outer bottom plate at the bottom end thereof. At least one blade is mounted on the back side of a rotating plate forming the bottom end of the rotating barrel, and is rotated by rotating the rotating plate to any part of the abrasive media existing between the back side of the rotating plate and the top side of the outer bottom plate in the direction remote from the rotary shaft, thereby developing a negative pressure or vacuum area located on the back side of the rotating plate and on the side of the blade nearer to the rotary shaft. Air is then drawn from the atmosphere into the vacuum area by the action of the negative pressure, and thus an air layer is created in the vacuum area. The air layer prevents that part of the abrasive media from entering the rotary shaft bearing and/or its seal.
