摘要: A barrel polishing apparatus has a barrel tank. The barrel tank includes a cylindrical fixed tank having a center axis and a rotary disk provided to cover a bottom portion of the fixed tank and rotatable about the center axis. The barrel polishing apparatus further includes a tilting mechanism. The tilting mechanism has a tilting shaft extending in a horizontal direction to tilt the barrel tank around the tilting shaft. The tilting shaft is disposed closer to the upper edge of the fixed tank than a centroidal line extending parallel to the tilting shaft and passing through the center of gravity of the barrel tank when viewed from a direction parallel to an extending direction of the tilting shaft.

The washing nozzle is a nozzle to eject washing water. The washing nozzle is configured to be insertable into and removable from the barrel tank. The nozzle moving mechanism moves the washing nozzle in a direction where the washing nozzle is inserted into and removed from the barrel tank.

摘要: A method and apparatus for processing a metallic workpiece with defined edges (e.g., a gear) comprises media blasting of the workpiece by directing a first media against exposed surfaces on the workpiece to increase the root strength of the gear, the blasting causing the defined edges to be radiused or mushroomed, ceasing the media blasting, loading the workpiece into a finishing apparatus, and subjecting the workpiece to a finishing process with a second media, the exposed surfaces on the workpiece being subjected to the finishing process to reduce the radiused edges on the workpiece created from the media blasting. The process of moving the workpiece to the spindle-finishing apparatus from the media blasting may be performed automatically by a machine. Once the workpiece has been subjected to the finishing process with the second media, it may be removed from the spindle-finishing machine, washed, and rinsed with rust inhibitor whereby wear properties of the workpiece are enhanced.

摘要: The invention discloses a seamless flowing type finishing machine, comprising a supporting frame; the supporting frame is provided with a lower container, an upper container and a tray; the tray is movably connected with the lower container. A plurality of bolts is arranged between the lower container and the upper container for connection; springs are arranged at the connections of the bolts. The upper edge of the tray extends to the lower edge of the upper container; with the elastic force of the springs, the lower edge of the upper container clings to the upper edge of the tray so as to form a seamless connecting structure; a water outlet is arranged on the tray. A water-filling nozzle is arranged on the sidewall of the lower container. The seamless flowing type finishing machine disclosed by the invention can be used for processing of various ultra-small parts.

摘要: A method of treating bearing rolling elements or bearing rings after a hardening and temper heat treatment is disclosed. The method may include treating the bearing rolling elements in a tumbling treatment and then in a duplex hardening treatment. The method may include treating the bearing rings in a peening treatment and then in a duplex hardening treatment. The duplex hardening treatment may also include at least one sequential process segment consisting of subjecting the bearing rolling element & rings to a nitriding process to increase the surface hardness and compressive residual stress. The combined two-step process produces a deep surface/sub-surface residual stress greater than the depth of the maximum operating von-Mises shear stress along with an ultra-hard surface with high magnitude of compressive residual stress. In so doing, the bearing ring and rolling elements will have significantly enhanced rolling contact fatigue resistance and resistance to surface imperfections and debris.
