Abstract: The present invention provides novel functionalized mixtures 4- and 5-vinyl substituted regioisomers of 1,2,3-triazoles via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. The mixture may be converted to a wide variety of useful functionalized mixtures of 4- and 5-vinyl substituted regioisomers of 1,2,3-triazole moieties, which in turn can be converted to a wide variety of useful polymers The novel alcoholic functionalized mixtures of 4- and 5-substituted regioisomers can be separated by chromatography to provide the purified 4- and 5-alcoholic functionalized substituted 1,2,3-triazole moieties. Abstract: Optical imaging systems and methods are disclosed herein for investigating and analyzing one or more characteristics of a spray, including spray front velocity, spray sheet length, spray break-up dynamics, drift potential, and drop-size distribution. Optical imaging systems disclosed herein include an image acquisition device, one or more illumination source, a processor for processing and analyzing image data, a background, and a spray system that includes at least a nozzle. The image acquisition device and illumination sources are positioned on the same side of the spray. The processor has a first algorithm to generate a feedback correction factor and a second algorithm to identify droplets and develop a drop-size distribution for the spray. Optical imaging methods for determining spray characteristics are also disclosed and generally include the steps of providing an imaging system, capturing images of the spray with the imaging system, processing the images, and analyzing the images.

Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions comprising banyan tree, lotus, and clover serum fractions. A method of improving the appearance of a hyperpigmented spot may comprise the step of applying a composition comprising an effective amount of banyan tree serum fraction, lotus serum fraction, and clover serum fraction to a hyperpigmented spot on a skin surface, wherein the composition is applied for a period of time sufficient to improve the appearance of the hyperpigmented spot. The method may include the step of identifying a hyperpigmented spot on a facial skin surface. Other methods as disclosed include a method for improving the appearance of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
