Abstract:
A marine drive system mounted in the hull of a marine craft, the marine drive system comprising an engine connected to a gearbox by means of a drive shaft (532), a propeller (1) connected to the gearbox by means of a propeller shaft (501), wherein the gearbox and the propeller are formed as a single rigid body for flexibly mounting in the hull of the marine craft as a single unit, and wherein the engine, gearbox and propeller are positioned such that they are always generally aligned with the longitudinal axis of the craft.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method and system of distributing management of network resources on a network to network devices is provided. During execution, the system receives a request on a network device to execute a task that performs a set of operations related to managing the network, receives an application over the network wherein the application includes operations for performing the task, processes operations on the network device that requests network parameters from a remote network device, transmits the request for the network parameter over the network to the remote network, and receives the requested network parameter over the network from the remote network device.
Abstract:
A network management apparatus and method reduces the number of events presented in an event list to a user. In particular, the apparatus and method reduces the number of events, which are generated during the monitoring of a network and may be due to rebooting of a device on the network, presented to the user by determining, upon receiving an event relating to a device, whether a more significant event already appears in the event list relating to the device, and if so, preventing the received event from being presented in the event list to the user.
Abstract:
A method and system is provided for performing a network management task on a network device. The network device loads a network management application capable of performing the network management task onto the network device in response to a request. Loading may include accessing an application server having the network management application capable of a performing the network management task and downloading the network management application over a network from the application server to the network device. The network device then executes the network management application corresponding to the requested network management task. Methods and systems provide a result from executing the network management application to a network management system used to manage the network.
Abstract:
A method for fetching sparsely indexed MIB tables for a managed network device using an approximation operation, such as a GetNext SNMP operation, comprises sending a plurality of operations in a first data packet at least one of the plurality of approximation operations specifying a speculative approximation. By using speculative approximations of index values of data to be fetched, it is possible to retrieve MIB table data more quickly and efficiently.
Abstract:
A broadband cholesteric optical device such as a polarizer or a spectral filter includes a broadband cholesteric layer, for instance, of a graded pitch type such that the cholesteric pitch increases monotonically from one surface of the film to the other surface. In order to improve the off-axis performance, a compensator is provided in the form of a positive birefringence film whose optic axis is substantially perpendicular to the film. Another negative birefringence film whose optic axis is also perpendicular to the film may also be provided.
Abstract:
Suction cleaning apparatus such as a road cleaning machine comprises a closed chamber for receiving dust and similar matter together with liquid such as water intermingled therewith, the chamber having a suction duct thereto for taking up dust and similar matter from a road or like surface due to suction in the duct created by suction means such as a centrifugal fan communicating with the duct and chamber, return flow means or pipework being provided for passing water from the chamber to the suction duct for intermingling with dust or similar matter drawn into the duct. On discharge of the water laden with dust and similar matter from the duct into the chamber the laden water separates by reduction in velocity from the suction air flow while the water draining from dust and similar matter deposited in the chamber is re-circulated by the return flow means to the suction duct.
Abstract:
Process for gravure or flexographic printing of flexible substrates wherein the printing vehicle comprises a dispersion of film-forming polymer particles in an inert organic liquid, the dispersion being stabilised by a defined polymeric stabiliser and being of such a composition that after evaporation of not more than 50% by weight of the organic liquid the residue is a stable dispersion which can bleed homogeneously with fresh dispersion, and wherein the polymer particles are subsequently integrated upon the substrate.
Abstract:
Described is a method for the preparation of protein rich milk and a tofu-like product from decupled sunflower, flax, camelina or hemp meal that is, sunflower, flax, camelina or hemp milk and a coagulated product from a cold pressed sunflower, flax, and camelina or hemp meal. Sunflower, flax, camelina and hemp meal, a by-product of sunflower, flax, camelina and hemp oil processing is typically used as a feed ingredient for livestock animals.
Abstract:
