Abstract:
An assist grip for a vehicle to which a force can be easily applied from above when a passenger gets in and out of the vehicle, facilitating the movement of the passenger at that time. The assist grip includes a grip main body 4 vertically provided along a door opening of a vehicle 2. The grip main body 4 includes the grip head portion 6. The passenger can vertically apply a force to the grip head portion 6 when getting in and out of the vehicle, and thus he/she is allowed to easily get in and out of the vehicle. Moreover, a supporting member 5 is provided in the grip head portion 6 and an attachment position of the grip head is adjustable in relation to the grip main body 4, enabling the attachment position to be adjusted according to a passenger's physical size, further improving its convenience.
Abstract:
A temperature measurement apparatus includes a light source; a first splitter that splits a light beam into a measurement beam and a reference beam; a reference beam reflector that reflects the reference beam; an optical path length adjustor; a second splitter that splits the reflected reference beam into a first reflected reference beam and a second reflected reference beam; a first photodetector that measures an interference between the first reflected reference beam and a reflected measurement beam obtained by the measurement beam reflected from a target object; a second photodetector that measures an intensity of the second reflected reference beam; and a temperature calculation unit. The temperature calculation unit calculates a location of the interference by subtracting an output signal of the second photodetector from an output signal of the first photodetector, and calculates a temperature of the target object from the calculated location of the interference.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a method for producing a base material for optical fiber having a deformed first clad consisting of at least a core, a first clad and a second clad, comprising a step of deforming a shape of a section of the first clad so that it may have at least one linear part when the first clad is formed around the core, a step of depositing porous glass fine particles as the second clad made of the same material as that of the first clad on a glass rod having the deformed first clad to form a porous glass base material, and a step of forming the second clad having a round section by vitrifying it. There can be provided a method for producing a base material for optical fiber wherein a lot of breakages or cracks on the surface of the base material can be prevented in a step of depositing porous glass fine particles for the second clad on the first clad, and base material for optical fiber having no defects, and an optical fiber having an efficient effect of being excited with excitation light.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a synthesized silica glass optical member, the method comprising: providing a porous silica glass body; heating the porous silica glass body in an atmosphere containing hydrogen or oxygen, and sintering the porous silica glass body in an atmosphere containing fluorine compound. Furthermore, a synthesized silica glass optical member manufactured by the method.
Abstract:
A grating optical fiber comprises a core, a first clad layer formed around the core, and a second clad layer formed around the first clad. Germanium is doped in the core, while germanium and fluorine are doped in the first clad layer. Gratings are formed on both the core and the first clad layer. The difference between the indexes of refraction between the first and second clad layers is smaller than the difference between the indexes of refraction between the core and the first clad layer.
Abstract:
A wiper apparatus including right and left hand pivot shafts and a wiper motor are incorporated into an integrated modular type holder member. A mounting section having a generally trapezoidal configuration is formed on a pivot holder to extend therefrom outwardly with respect to one of the pivot shafts. The wiper apparatus includes a trapezoidal insertion hole on a vehicle body side. The mounting section is inserted into the insertion hole loosely in a tilted posture when the pivot holder takes a mounting posture, and for mounting the wiper apparatus, using, as a lever, a supporting portion formed on the vehicle body side, the mounting section is pressed against an upper edge of the insertion hole having a smaller dimension.
Abstract:
A color-image forming apparatus includes: an electrostatic latent image holder; electrostatic latent image forming unit for forming a plurality of electrostatic latent images on the image holder; a scanning unit for scanning the electrostatic latent image holder periodically at predetermined timings; developing devices for developing each of the plurality of electrostatic latent images by toners of each of different colors respectively, and forming thus developed toner image on the image holder; a simultaneously transferring device for simultaneously transferring the plurality of toner images onto a transfer medium; fixing device for fixing the toner image on the transfer medium; and timing-setting unit for setting a timing at which said scanning means starts scanning at each of slow scanning pitches in the direction of fast scanning for each of the plurality of colors; wherein the timings which are allotted to each of the colors are different each other so that the starting position of the scanning of each color at each of slow scanning pitches in the direction of the fast scanning is successively shifted at a predetermined distance.
