    摘要: In a device for determining a position of a bit error in a bit sequence, a check matrix is used which has a predefined number of rows and a predefined number of columns. The check matrix includes a plurality of square submatrices having a submatrix row number and a submatrix column number corresponding to the predefined number of rows or the predefined number of columns of the check matrix. The device for determining then includes a unit for receiving a bit sequence and a unit for identifying a syndrome using the check matrix and the received bit sequence. Furthermore, the device includes a unit for establishing a position of a bit error in the received bit sequence, wherein the unit for establishing is adapted to identify a syndrome bit and a syndrome bit group in the syndrome, and wherein the unit for establishing is further adapted to determine the position of the bit error in the received bit sequence using information on a position of the syndrome bit or the syndrome bit group in the syndrome, information on a relationship between the syndrome bit and the syndrome bit group, and a submatrix row number or a submatrix column number of a submatrix.

    摘要: A heat pump having a cooling mode includes a cooling evaporator coupled to an advance flow and a backflow. The cooling evaporator is brought to a pressure such that a vaporization temperature of the working liquid in the backflow is below a temperature of an object to be cooled to which the backflow may be thermally coupled. In this manner, an area having vapor at high pressure is generated. This vapor is fed into a dynamic-type compressor which outputs the vapor at a low pressure and provides electrical energy in the process. The vapor at low pressure is fed to a cooling liquefier which provides vapor liquefaction at a low temperature, this temperature being lower than the temperature of the object to be cooled. The working liquid removed from the cooling evaporator due to the vaporization is refilled by a filling pump. The heat pump having a cooling mode also results when a specific heat pump is operated in the reverse direction, and provides cooling without any net use of electrical energy. Instead, the cooling even generates electrical energy.

    摘要: A calculating unit for performing an arithmetic operation with at least two operands, the at least two operands being encrypted, includes an arithmetic-logic unit with a first input for the first encrypted operand, a second input for the second encrypted operand, a third input for an encryption parameter and an output for an encrypted result of the operation, the arithmetic-logic unit being formed so as to operate on the first input, the second input and the third input by means of arithmetic sub-operations, while considering the type of encryption of the operands, such that at the output, an encrypted result is obtained which equals a value that would be obtained if the first operand was subjected to the arithmetic operation in a non-encrypted state and if the second operand would be subjected to the arithmetic operation in a non-encrypted state, and a result obtained was subsequently encrypted, no decryption of the operands being performed in the arithmetic-logic unit. In this manner, a processor system may be obtained in which no data whatsoever occurs in clear text, i.e. in a non-encrypted form, since no decryption upstream of an arithmetic-logic unit and no encryption downstream of the arithmetic-logic unit are required, as the arithmetic-logic unit operates with encrypted input operands to obtain an encrypted result. Interception attacks on transmission lines of the calculating unit are thus ruled out.
