    摘要: A dynamic distribution of traffic load across multiple carriers in a wireless communication system. The wireless communication system includes a Base Transmittal Station (BTS) and one or more Access Terminals (ATs). An arriving traffic flow is placed on the carrier pair preferably having the most excess capacity. It is determined whether the new traffic flow is symmetric or asymmetric, and whether it is a best effort (BE) or a delay sensitive (DS) flow type. A procedure is then selected and used to calculate a loading metric for each carrier pair, the new traffic flow being assigned to the carrier pair having the lowest metric.

    摘要: Techniques for controlling data transmission are described. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) determines whether to send a packet based on available transmit power. The UE determines a first packet size based on the available transmit power and sends a packet of the first packet size if it is equal to or larger than a minimum packet size. The UE sends a packet of a second packet size (e.g., the minimum packet size) if the first packet size is smaller than the minimum packet size and if at least one condition is met, e.g., the available transmit power is greater than a power threshold and the delay of a packet to send is larger than a delay threshold. In another aspect, the UE operates in a discontinuous transmission (DTX) mode and cancels the DTX mode if the delay of a packet to send exceeds a threshold.

    摘要: A system and method for compiling includes, for a parallelizable code portion of an application stored on a computer readable storage medium, determining one or more variables that are to be transferred to and/or from a coprocessor if the parallelizable code portion were to be offloaded. A start location and an end location are determined for at least one of the one or more variables as a size in memory. The parallelizable code portion is transformed by inserting an offload construct around the parallelizable code portion and passing the one or more variables and the size as arguments of the offload construct such that the parallelizable code portion is offloaded to a coprocessor at runtime.
