Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for controlling a system for transporting blood, and a method for transporting blood in a blood line of an extracorporeal blood circuit of an extracorporeal blood treatment system. The present invention also relates to an extracorporeal blood treatment device comprising such a system for transporting blood. The method and device according to the present invention are based on the fact that a defined threshold value for the pressure in the blood line should not be exceeded. The system for transporting blood is controlled in such a way the blood in the blood line is transported in a pre-determined volume flow as long as the pressure in the blood line is below the pre-determined threshold value. When the pressure in the blood line reaches the pre-defined threshold value, however, the system for transporting blood is controlled such that a pressure value corresponding to the threshold value is set when the blood is transported in the blood line. As a result, when the threshold value for the pressure is reached, a regulation of the volume flow is replaced by a regulation of the pressure in the blood line.

Abstract: In a method and arrangement for manipulation of the contents of a data memory with which a processing device can be connected to manipulate (in at least one manipulation step at least one first memory range of the data memory, the processing device monitors a monitoring range of the first memory range, the state progression of which allowing the conclusion of the manipulation of the first memory range to be detected. A processing device with a buffer is used, into which buffer the data are read from the data memory. A sub-range of the data memory is established as a first exclusion range of the data memory. The first exclusion range not being read into the buffer. The first exclusion range is established in an establishing step preceding the manipulation step. The exclusion range includes the monitoring range.

Abstract: In a device for determining an exhaust gas recirculation rate (EGR) in an internal combustion engine, wherein the device includes a sensor unit, which in a first region is exposed to an exhaust-gas atmosphere from an exhaust gas recirculation line and in a second region is exposed to an exhaust gas/fresh air atmosphere in an intake line of the internal combustion engine downstream of a location where the exhaust gas recirculation line opens into the intake line, the sensor unit disposed in the intake line is tubular with the inner side of the sensor unit being exposed to the exhaust gas atmosphere and the outer side of the sensor unit being exposed to the exhaust gas/fresh air atmosphere. The sensor unit is preferably positioned centrally within the intake line away from the wall of the intake line.

Abstract: The apparatus is a spring system on forage harvester feedrolls. The upper forward feedroll has two concentric springs on each side. The outer spring is operative over the whole range of displacement. The inner spring exerts tensioning force on the feedroll only as of a certain minimal lifting of the feedroll. The rear upper feedroll has one spring on each side. This one spring has a substantially smaller spring force than the forward spring package. The feedroll supporting linkages are arranged with complementary and cooperating cam surfaces which are disposed so that, when the forward feedroll is lifted above a predetermined minimum value, the rearward feedroll is also lifted thereby (to a lesser degree) without even any lifting force from the crop material passing therebelow.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a method and to a device for resonance enhancement, in particular for tunable frequency conversion of continuous laser radiation, in particular, with a resonator of mirrors and at least one refractive element. The purpose of the invention is to develop a method and a device of the described type, so that the frequency conversion of continuous laser radiation, in particular, will occur at high efficiency while avoiding the described disadvantages, and so that an improved tunability will be assured over the greatest possible wavelength range with regard to the incident wavelengths; this problem is solved in that a tuning of resonator length is performed by translation of at least one refractive element P. The resonator is formed from a first mirror M1, a second mirror M2, and of a refractive element P designed in trapezoidal shape, which performs the function of a prism.
