    摘要: Disclosed is a method of preparing 3-hydroxytetrahydrofuran using cyclodehydration. More particularly, this invention relates to a method of preparing 3-hydroxytetrahydrofuran, including subjecting 1,2,4-butanetriol to cyclodehydration under reaction conditions of a reaction temperature of 30˜180° C. and reaction pressure of 5000 psig or less in the presence of a strong acid cation exchange resin catalyst having a sulfonic acid group as an exchange group. According to the method of this invention, 3-hydroxytetrahydrofuran can be economically prepared at higher yield and productivity than when using conventional methods.

    摘要: Disclosed is a composition for treating or preventing amyloid-related diseases including 4-O-methylhonokiol as an active ingredient. More specifically, a pharmaceutical composition including 4-O-methylhonokiol, which is effective for treating or preventing amyloid-related diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, cognitive disorder, defective memory, amyloidosis, etc. is disclosed. The inventors of the present disclosure have found out for the first time that 4-O-methylhonokiol inhibits the production of β-amyloid. It has been confirmed to be useful in treating or preventing amyloid-related diseases. Through animal tests including water maze test and passive avoidance test on mice, 4-O-methylhonokiol has been confirmed to be effective for amyloid-related diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, defective memory, cognitive disorder, and the like. It was further confirmed through acetylcholinesterase activity inhibition test using mouse brain cortex and hippocampus tissue that they are particularly effective in treating or preventing Alzheimer's disease among the amyloid-related diseases.

Therefore, it is possible to prevent an overshoot of the waveform of the high-voltage power. In addition, it is possible to improve the uniformity of a radiation image and reduce the time taken to obtain a radiation image by quickly discharging charges when the high-voltage power is short-circuited.

    摘要: An indoor local area network (LAN) system using an ultra wide-band (UWB) communication system is provided. The indoor LAN system includes at least one remote terminal including a UWB module for converting input digital data to be transmitted into an analog signal of an ultra wide-bandwidth and wirelessly transmitting the converted analog signal via an antenna of the remote terminal. The UWB module receives an analog signal of the ultra wide-bandwidth via the antenna and converts the received analog signal into a digital signal. The indoor LAN system further includes at least one access point for performing USB-based wireless communication with the remote terminal in a corresponding area. The access point is adapted to receive the analog signal of the ultra wide-bandwidth transmitted from the remote terminal and convert the received analog signal into an optical signal.

    摘要: A method is provided for installing a device driver capable of driving a peripheral device installed in a slot of a PC after receiving the device driver from a server located in a global network. When a PC card device, including a memory in which both a network address of a server providing the device's driver and information identifying the device driver have been stored, is inserted into a slot, network address and the device driver identifying information is read from the memory. Using this information, a request of a download of the device driver from the server with reference to the read-out information is made. The PC then receives the device driver downloaded from the server, and executes the received device driver to enable the peripheral device. With this method, no floppy disk need be supplied with the driver and the URL information is provided in the device, eliminating the need for installation and updating steps by the user.
