Abstract:
To solve the above-mentioned problem, a method in which a terminal reports channel state information comprises the following steps: receiving, from a base station, information on a plurality of patterns to be used in a channel state measurement; receiving, from the base station, selection information for selecting a pattern from among the plurality of patterns that is to be used in the channel state information to be reported to the base station; measuring a channel state using the information on the plurality of patterns; and selecting a portion of the measured channel state based on the selection information, and reporting the selected portion to the base station. The above-described solution enables the efficient reporting of channel state information including CQIICSI, thus improving communication efficiency.
Abstract:
A method for configuring a Minimization of Drive Test (MDT) information reporting format and a time-stamp is provided that supports MDT in a 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) system. The method defines a reporting format needed in a process where UE transmits MDT measurements to a serving base station, and sets the number of bits required to log time stamp and the unit of logging time.
Abstract:
The present invention defines an efficient contention-based access procedure in a mobile communication system. The present invention is directed to a 3GPP LTE/LTE-A mobile communication system under discussion in the 3GPP as one of the representative next generation mobile communication system.
Abstract:
An Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) method in a communication system having a protocol layer structure, in which a Layer 2 (L2) transmitter for generating an upper layer packet in a size suitable for transmission over a radio channel and transmitting the upper layer packet to a lower layer, transmits, to a receiver, polling information representative of an indicator for ordering the generation of a status report, and performs packet ARQ according to whether the status report is received within a predetermined time. The method includes determining whether there is a possibility that upper layer data contained in a packet data unit to be transmitted along with the polling information will cause an upper layer message in the opposite direction; and when there is a possibility that the upper layer data will cause an upper layer message, generating polling information ordering a receiver to wait for a predetermined time after receipt of a packet and to transmit an upper layer packet generated for the waiting time along with a status report, including the polling information in the packet data unit, and delivering the packet data unit to the lower layer.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of measurement on a home cell/private network cell, by a user equipment (UE), in a mobile communication system, the method including the steps of: transmitting a request message requesting the measurement to a network node, the request message including an indicator instructing at least one of register, join, and use of the home cell/private network cell; receiving a response message corresponding to the request message from the network node, the response message including context information for measurement control of at least one home cell/private network cell accessible by the UE; and selectively executing measurement on the accessible home cell/private network cell by using the context information.
Abstract:
A method and a UE apparatus for radio resource management in a mobile communication system. When a discontinuous reception period or an inactivity period of a UE exceeds a threshold, an ENB releases resources for uplink control information transmission allocated to the UE, and the UE recognizes the release of the resources and stops transmitting the uplink control information through the resources. This reduces the explicit reconfiguration procedure through an RRC message, which is otherwise necessary whenever the UE enters a new discontinuous reception mode.
Abstract:
A resource allocation method and apparatus for downlink transmission of a base station in a mobile communication system. The base station compares the number Ntx of data transmissions with the number Nper of available persistent resource allocations, and allocates resources by at least one of a persistent resource allocation scheme and a dynamic resource allocation scheme according to the comparison result.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for reporting a Power Headroom (PH) of a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system having a plurality of aggregated uplink carriers. The PH is calculated for a Power Headroom Report (PHR)-triggered uplink carrier. A PHR having the PH and an identifier of the PHR-triggered uplink carrier is generated, and the PHR is transmitted to a network. Also, a PHR having the PH is generated, and the PHR is transmitted to a network over one of a plurality of PHR-transmitting uplink carriers configured to correspond to the PHR-triggered uplink carrier.
Abstract:
A method for receiving a packet by a terminal in a mobile communication system including a base station providing a packet, and a terminal that discontinuously receives a packet from the base station in Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycles each having an active period and a sleep period. The packet reception method includes receiving, from the base station, configuration information for a DRX service, including a DRX cycle length; setting, as a starting point of the DRX cycle, a point at which a first packet is received from the base station; receiving a packet from the base station for an active period at the beginning of the starting point; and transitioning to a sleep period and waiting for a next active period.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for detecting contention in an RA procedure in a mobile communication system is provided in which an L2/L3 message is received from a UE in uplink resources allocated to the UE by an RA preamble response message that was transmitted for an RA procedure initiated by the UE, a CR message associated the RA procedure is transmitted to the UE, if the L2/L3 message is an initial access message, and predetermined control information is transmitted to the UE on a downlink control channel without transmitting the CR message, if the L2/L3 message is not an initial access message.
