Abstract:
Several brush assemblies are disclosed. All employ bristle strings that include a base string connected to a plurality of monofilaments. The preferred monofilaments are nylons and other polymeric thermoplastic materials. The monofilaments may be linear segments or loop segments disposed in two rows. The bristle strings may be connected to brush bodies to form virtually any of the various types of brushes. Bristle strings employing loops may be braided together to form entangled, monofilament articles for brush or other applications.
Abstract:
A bristle sub-assembly includes first and second base strings and a plurality of polymeric monofilaments connected to and extending between the first and second base strings. The polymeric monofilaments form a first arched row when the first and second base strings are brought together. Several types and configurations of brushes are made using either arched bristles or combinations of arched and straight bristles.
Abstract:
A method and system allow for creation and delivery of dynamic communications. The method and system implement software applications allowing content authors to generate dynamic data and scripts. In addition, other software applications allow users to request the generation of dynamic data. These requests are transmitted to a server application, which generates content based on the request sent by users, as well as the dynamic data and scripts stored by content authors. The generated content is then supplied to the user application for display, printing, or other use by the user.

Abstract:
An intumescent structure provides a hermetic-type barrier within a fiber duct through which communications cabling is extended. The structure is formed of a fire-resistant body possessing a plurality of pre-perforated forms that extend through the body. Each of the pre-perforated forms may be sized to have cross-sectional dimensions and geometries that generally correspond to the cross-sectional configurations of communications cabling that are typically placed in a fiber duct to interconnect electronic equipment. Selective removal of the pre-perforated forms establish associated passageways through the body for receiving the appropriately sized cabling therethrough. This facilitates the maintenance of a barrier to gasses and other substances escaping through the duct, while still allowing cabling to freely pass through the duct.
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed towards enabling telecommunications networked services providers to maximize sales of products, services, content, and applications to their customers by detecting contextual occasions in which to present a customer an offering of a product, service, content, or application. The occasion may be defined for the customer within their cultural environment by ethnographic research and anthropological modeling. The occurrence of a contextual occasion may be realized for a customer, in part, based on predictive and behavioral analytics of demographic, behavioral, and/or psychographic customer attributes. The customer's activities, location, time, social network activity, and events occurring in the world are also monitored to identify or predict an occurrence of the targeted occasion in which to present a contextually relevant product, service, content, and/or application offering to the customer.
Abstract:
A continuous method for making a polymeric bristle subassembly using a continuous moving cable support to move the filament wraps along the mandrel. The base string being bonded to the polymeric filaments of the wrap as the filament wraps are transported to form a bristle sub assembly. An apparatus for making the subassemblies is also part of this invention. Other aspects of this invention are a continuous method of making a bristle subassembly wherein the base string is omitted and the filaments of the wrap are bonded to each other through the use of an energy source, or the use of a polymeric bead to bond the filaments together or use of a solvent or an adhesive to bond the polymeric filaments of the wrap together to form a bristle subassembly.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to spliced, braided, cords having a nearly constant cross-section along the cord and at the location of the splice. The invention also relates to a splicing process.
Abstract:
A fuel injector has a chamber into which fuel leaking from within the injector can flow. A collar surrounds a body part of the injector and defines with the body a cavity into which fuel from the chamber can flow. The collar is secured to the body part by a circlip and the collar has nipples to lead fuel away from the cavity.
