Abstract: A method produces thermoplastic resin-impregnated sheet-shaped reinforcing fiber bundle obtained by impregnating reinforcing fibers made from continuous fibers with a thermoplastic resin, said method including: an application step in which a sheet-shaped reinforcing fiber bundle obtained by arranging reinforcing fibers made from continuous fibers in one direction is passed through an application section which retains thermoplastic resin, and the thermoplastic resin is applied to the sheet-shaped reinforcing fiber bundle to constitute a thermoplastic resin-impregnated sheet-shaped reinforcing fiber bundle; a further impregnation step in which the applied thermoplastic resin is further impregnated into the inside of the thermoplastic resin-impregnated sheet-shaped reinforcing fiber bundle; and a shaping step in which the thermoplastic resin-impregnated sheet-shaped reinforcing fiber bundle is shaped and solidified by cooling.

Abstract: Provided is a nonwoven fabric for skin care products. The nonwoven fabric includes: a thermoplastic resin fiber having a single fiber diameter of 50 nm or more and 800 nm or less; and a cellulose fiber. A tensile strength of the cellulose fiber measured in accordance with JIS L 1015:2010 8.7.2 is 1.9 cN/dtex or less, a total content of the thermoplastic resin fiber and the cellulose fiber is 85% by mass or more relative to a total mass of the nonwoven fabric for skin care products, a content ratio by mass of the thermoplastic resin fiber and the cellulose fiber (thermoplastic resin fiber/cellulose fiber) is 0.23 to 1.50, and a density of the nonwoven fabric for skin care products is 0.08 g/cm3 to 0.16 g/cm3.

Abstract: A fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition includes 5 to 50 parts by weight of reinforcing fibers (A) containing at least carbon fibers, 20 to 94.5 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin (B), and 0.5 to 30 parts by weight of a rosin resin (C), wherein the rosin resin (C) has an acid value and/or hydroxyl value of 100 mgKOH/g or more. Since the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition contains the reinforcing fibers containing at least carbon fibers and the specific rosin resin, a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molded article high in reinforcing effect due to the reinforcing fibers and excellent in tensile strength, impact strength and appearance quality, particularly blackness, can be obtained.

Abstract: An epoxy resin composition is provided which includes a poly-naphthalene-based epoxy resin having two or more epoxy groups per molecule combined with a non-linear multi-phenyl epoxy resin and an additional epoxy resin having an epoxy functionality of 3 or more, as well as a prepreg, and a fiber-reinforced composite material prepared using the epoxy resin composition. More specifically, an epoxy resin composition is provided which contains a combination of particular types of epoxy resins and curatives that, when cured, provides high flexural modulus and that is suitable for preparing a fiber-reinforced composite material capable of withstanding extreme use environments such as low-temperature environments and high-temperature moisture-absorbing environments. In addition, epoxy resin systems are provided which are capable of achieving a high Tg along with good thermal stability for long periods of time at elevated temperatures (e.g., 180° C. or more) when cured at 210° C. for 2 hours.
