    摘要: A disk drive for use with a flexible magnetic disk having a sheet metal hub having a central hole and an eccentric slot formed therein. The disk drive has a turntable on which the disk is to be placed for joint rotation therewith. The turntable has a spindle disposed centrally for centering engagement in the central hole in the disk, and a drive pin disposed eccentrically on the turntable for driving engagement in the eccentric slot. Erected on the free end of a lever pivotally mounted to the turntable, the drive pin is movable substantially radially of the turntable. A magnetic member is also mounted to the free end of the lever for magnetically biasing the drive pin radially outwardly of the turntable so that the disk may be engaged by the spindle and the drive pin without looseness. For magnetically biasing the drive pin there is utilized a permanent magnet rotor which constitutes a part of a disk drive motor and which is mounted to the turntable for joint rotation therewith.

    摘要: A spindle motor able to reduce leaking of magnetic flux of an index magnet to a magnetic head of a disc apparatus. In an axial gap type spindle motor having a rotor case rotatably supported by a base plate, an index magnet is provided to a face of the rotor case opposite to the base plate. A hall device is provided in an open space between a plurality of coils arranged radially on the base plate at a position opposite to the index magnet. A magnetic flux forms a closed loop by passing through the rotor case, and thus leaking of magnetic flux to the outside is reduced.

    摘要: A drive pin support mechanism for an apparatus for data transfer with a magnetic disk having a rigid hub of magnetic material attached centrally thereto, with the apparatus including an upstanding drive spindle for centering engagement in a central opening in the disk hub, a turntable rigidly mounted on the drive spindle and having a permanent magnet for attracting the disk hub and for holding the disk thereon, and a drive pin for driving engagement in an eccentric slot in the disk hub. The drive pin support mechanism includes a drive pin support spring fabricated from resilient sheet metal material and supported on the underside of the turntable for joint rotation therewith. The support spring is so configured as to permit the drive pin mounted thereon to slant in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction of rotation of the turntable. Also included is an abutment on the turntable for limiting the slanting of the drive pin during the operation of the apparatus in order to maintain the magnetic disk in constant angular relation to the turntable and to preclude instantaneous speed variations of the magnetic disk.

    摘要: A motor driving circuit includes an inverter circuit which supplies a driving current to a coil of a single phase brushless DC motor, a position detection sensor which detects a magnetic pole position of a magnet rotor of the motor and outputs a position detection signal, and a controller which controls the inverter circuit based on the position detection signal and a speed instruction signal for instructing a rotating speed of the motor. At a time of startup of the motor, the controller makes a pulse width of a PWM signal for controlling the inverter circuit constant in a first time period which starts after the position detection signal zero-crosses and lasts until the position detection signal zero-crosses next time, and narrows the pulse width of the PWM signal as time elapses in a second time period immediately after the first time period.
