摘要： A spindle motor mounting structure for a disk or a disk cartridge recording/reproducing apparatus includes a substrate, a spindle motor including a stator part fixed on the substrate, a spindle shaft, and a disk shaped rotor part rotatably supported on the spindle shaft, and a frame on which the substrate is mounted. The rotor part has a flange part which extends from an outer periphery thereof, and the frame includes a projecting part which confronts at least a part of the flange to prevent the rotor part from slipping out of the spindle shaft. A height of an upper surface of the projecting part from the substrate is less than or equal to a height of an upper surface of the rotor part from the substrate.

摘要： A pre-set variable passive element can prevent faulty insulation between itself and a conductive board. A cylindrical member extended higher than a adjusting member is made of ceramic around the adjusting member which is rotatably fitted for adjustment of the value of resistance of the pre-set variable resistor element, the forming of the cylindrical member being integrally formed with a main part also formed in a ceramic. The cylindrical member is fitted into an opening bored in a stator board mainly of a steel plate, and the pre-set variable resistor is fitted on the stator board. The adjusting member which is contacted by a contact, by which the value of resistance of the pre-set variable resistor element is determined, and an inside periphery of the opening free from any insulating treatment is securely insulated by the cylindrical member.

摘要： A spindle motor able to reduce leaking of magnetic flux of an index magnet to a magnetic head of a disc apparatus. In an axial gap type spindle motor having a rotor case rotatably supported by a base plate, an index magnet is provided to a face of the rotor case opposite to the base plate. A hall device is provided in an open space between a plurality of coils arranged radially on the base plate at a position opposite to the index magnet. A magnetic flux forms a closed loop by passing through the rotor case, and thus leaking of magnetic flux to the outside is reduced.

摘要： A stepping motor for driving a head carriage having a motor axis on which is provided a lead screw comprises a seat plate that forms a back end of the motor, said seat plate being provided with a projection that projects toward a radial direction of the motor axis. At the time of the alignment of a head and a disk, the stepping motor is rotated by rotating a jig which is engaged with the projection. Thus the stationary position of the head carriage along a direction of its movement is adjusted.

摘要： There is provided a single-phase AC synchronized motor that does not need smooth of rectifier waves but stably performs shift from a starting operation to a synchronized operation. In the motor, based on detected signals of a position sensor, rectified current is reciprocally flowed to each direction of a single-phase coil which starts the motor. The motor includes a start-up operation circuit with a sensor starting period that increases a rotational speed until reaching to a first predetermined rotational speed; and a control device that controls operation of the motor as that shift to synchronized operation is performed when a rotational speed of a permanent magnetic rotor is reached to a second predetermined rotational speed nearby a synchronized rotational speed but not exceeding the synchronized rotational speed, and when the rise and fall of detected signals of the position sensor and the zero-cross point of AC current are approximately correspondent to each other.

摘要： There is provided a resist underlayer coating forming composition used in processes for manufacturing a mask blank and a mask, and a mask blank and a mask manufactured from the composition. The resist underlayer coating forming composition comprises a polymer compound having a halogen atom-containing repeating structural unit and a solvent. In a mask blank including a thin film for forming transfer pattern and a chemically-amplified type resist coating on a substrate in that order, the composition is used for forming a resist underlayer coating between the thin film for forming transfer pattern and the resist coating. The polymer compound is preferably a compound containing a halogen atom in an amount of at least 10 mass %.

摘要： A motor positioning method includes steps of: providing a frame of a disk drive apparatus having locating holes spaced apart from each other, the locating holes being located in accordance with a predetermined positional relationship between the locating holes and a target position; placing a positioning jig on a base surface, the positioning jig having a first connecting portion with a diameter corresponding to a reference opening at the target position and second connecting portions with diameters corresponding to respective ones of the locating holes, the second connecting portions and the first connecting portion being located in accordance with the positional relationship; placing the frame onto the positioning jig so that the second connecting portions are fitted into the locating holes; and placing a board having a drive motor, a shaft and the reference opening at the target position, onto the frame attached to the jig so that the first connecting portion is fitted into the reference opening, thus positioning the shaft at the target position within the apparatus.
