    Abstract: A tempering device for tempering of biomass contained in a container, including at least one tempering mechanism, and at least one conveying device for conveying a mass flow of biomass in a main flow direction. The at least one conveying device includes at least one agitator, and wherein the at least one tempering mechanism is arranged in the main flow direction generated by the at least one conveying device. The at least one tempering mechanism is tubular with an inner tube and with an outer tube arranged coaxially to the inner tube. The inner tube and the outer tube form an intermediate space through which a tempering medium may flow. The tempering mechanism is oriented relative to the conveying device such that, in operation of the heating device, at least 40% of the delivery volume of the mass flow generated by the conveying device flows through the inner tube.

    Abstract: A pump for pumping a liquid, includes an impeller and an axially extending drive shaft assembly, wherein a distal end of the drive shaft assembly is received in a central recess of the impeller. The drive shaft assembly includes a drive shaft and a connector. The connector includes a sleeve that is in telescopic engagement with the drive shaft. During operation of the pump the impeller is displaceable in the axial direction in relation to the sleeve between a distal rest position and a proximal position. The impeller is biased towards the distal rest position by a spring member arranged between the sleeve and the impeller. The connector includes a hollow adjustment screw that is in threaded engagement with an interior side of the sleeve to limit the maximum degree of telescopic overlap between the sleeve and the drive shaft.

    Abstract: An apparatus for the treatment of water includes an elongated housing having a first end and a second end. The first end has a water inlet and the second end has a water outlet. An elongated ultraviolet radiation source with a sleeve is concentrically located within the elongated housing. The elongated ultraviolet radiation source has, at its first end, electrical connections, which extend through the second end of the housing and have a second free end held in a support element. The support element includes a supporting structure containing a ring element and from thereon radially inwardly running arms. The arms are designed in such a way that during assembly the arms are resiliently deformed and wherein, if assembled, the arms are pressed against the sleeve, so that the free end of the ultraviolet radiation source is held by the arms in a resilient manner.

    Abstract: An ultraviolet mercury low-pressure amalgam lamp includes a tube having a first end and a second end, a first electrode placed in the first end of the tube, and a second electrode placed in the second end of the tube, whereby when the lamp is energized a discharge path is formed between the first and second electrodes. At least one amalgam deposit is adjacent to one of the first and second electrodes out of the discharge path between the first and second electrodes. The tube has at least one constriction, wherein the at least one amalgam deposit is placed behind the constriction with respect to the discharge path such that the at least one amalgam deposit is protected by the constriction from the heat emitted by the electrodes.

    Abstract: A chain tensioning arrangement for a column pipe which is configured to house a submersible pump. The chain tensioning arrangement includes a radially extending cross beam, a spring arrangement connected to the cross beam, at least one spring member, and an arm that is movably connected to the cross beam. The arm includes an engagement member configured to optionally engage a chain connected to the pump. The arm is displaceable in the axial direction between a lower position and an upper position. The spring member is arranged to displace the arm in the direction from the lower position towards the upper position. Also described is a pump station including a column pipe, a submersible pump arranged in the column pipe and an axially extending chain connected to the pump and configured to move the pump in the column pipe.

    Abstract: A low pressure mercury gas discharge ultraviolet lamp with a tubular elongate body with two opposing ends, a first end and a second end, which contains a gas filling, and with at least two electric connectors at each end, which are electrically connected to at least one filament being provided at each end. A discharge length is defined between the filaments, in which at least two filaments are provided at each end of the discharge length. The filaments can be individually supplied with electric energy. The at least two filaments at the first end are of different size and different mass, and the at least two filaments at the second end are of different size and different mass.
