Abstract: Systems, methods, and mechanisms for performing ROHC header compression on TCP packets with MPTCP option enabled. A compressor may determine that a first portion of the stream of data packets is formatted according to the transmission control protocol (TCP) with a multipath TCP (MPTCP) option enabled. The compressor may establish context with a corresponding decompressor and may operate in one of three modes of compression based on the context. In some embodiments, when the context indicates that the corresponding decompressor supports decompression of TCP data packets with MPTCP option enabled, the compressor may operate in a first or second mode of compression. In some embodiments, when the context indicates that the corresponding decompressor does not support decompression of TCP data packets with MPTCP option enabled, the compressor may operation in a third mode of compression.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods to support parallel communication using multiple subscriber identities in a wireless communication device via multiple subscriber identity modules (SIMs) are disclosed. A representative method includes establishing a connection with a first wireless network via a first wireless cellular protocol software stack for a first subscriber identity associated with a first subscriber identity module; registering with a second wireless network via a second wireless cellular protocol software stack for a second subscriber identity associated with a second subscriber identity module; and receiving radio frequency signals from the second wireless network via the second wireless cellular protocol software stack in parallel with communicating with the first wireless network via the first wireless cellular protocol software stack. The first and second wireless cellular protocol software stacks share at least a portion of radio frequency wireless circuitry for communicating with the first and second wireless network respectively.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for efficient idle mode wakeup for wireless devices supporting an enhanced coverage mode and a normal coverage mode in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may camp on a cellular base station in idle mode. The wireless device may monitor a control channel associated with the normal coverage mode during a paging occasion. The wireless device may also monitor a control channel associated with the enhanced coverage mode during the paging occasion if a paging indication is not successfully decoded on the control channel associated with the normal coverage mode.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for user equipment (UE) devices to perform more efficient frequency scans for potential base stations. According to techniques described herein, the UE may determine that it does not have cellular service and determine first information based on a last camped cell. A time period during which the first information was acquired may be determined and one or more frequency scans may be performed. The frequency scans may be limited to a set of frequencies based in part on the time period. Thus, if the time period is less than a first value, the set of frequencies may include a first set of frequencies and if the time period is greater than the first value but less than a second value, the set of frequencies may include the first set of frequencies and a second set of frequencies.
