    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes a first subscriber identification module (SIM) and a second SIM. The UE is configured to establish a first cellular network connection based on, at least, the first SIM and a second cellular network connection based on, at least, the second SIM. The UE sends, by the first SIM, a first registration request to the network, wherein the first registration request comprises an identification indicating the multi-SIM device is a type of multi-SIM device, receives, by the first SIM, a first registration accept message indicating the first registration request has been accepted, wherein the first registration accept message comprises a first temporary identification for the first SIM and sends, by the second SIM, an access network message comprising one of the first temporary identification or a further temporary identification based on, at least, the first temporary identification.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and computer readable media are described that adjust radio resource control connection states between a mobile wireless device and a wireless network following determination that a set of inactivity trigger conditions is met. Time periods between successive data messages and/or signaling messages transmitted to and/or received from a wireless access network are measured. When a prolonged period of data inactivity and/or signaling activity is determined, the mobile wireless device re-establishes an existing radio resource control connection to the wireless access network or releases the radio resource control connection to the wireless access network and transitions to an idle state.

The operations comprising, transmitting configuration information to the remote UE and receiving information corresponding to a serving link associated with the remote UE. The operations further comprising determining that the serving link associated with the remote UE is to be switched from a first communication link to a second communication link. The operations further comprising, transmitting a message to the remote UE indicating that the serving link associated with the remote UE is to be switched from the first communication link to the second communication link. The operations further comprising, transmitting a message to a relay UE. The message is configured to trigger the relay UE to perform an operation corresponding to the serving link associated with the remote UE.
