Facilitating the establishment of the multiple-connectivity for the communication links also can comprise facilitating establishing a first communication relay link between the second communications device and the first communications device and a second communication relay link between the first communications device and the third communications device.

Abstract: Various aspects of the technology described herein are directed towards a generalized beam management framework in which beam management takes into account interference to steer a beam. Aspects comprise configuring a report request comprising a resource setting with channel state information-reference signal resource data and an associated report setting with parameter data corresponding to the one or more channel state information-reference signal resources. The report request is configured to instruct a user equipment device to include interference information when performing user equipment device beam management and reporting. Upon receiving the report request, the user equipment performs a beam measurement operation that includes interference information when generating the beam management report sent to the network device.

Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for efficient configuration of demodulation reference signals in beamformed wireless communications systems. In an embodiment, the transmitter can signal the location of demodulation reference signals (DMRS) by including an indicator bit in downlink control information indicating which DMRS scheme is used in the transmission. A first DMRS scheme can let the user equipment (UE) device know that the DMRS position for the PDSCH carrying the RMSI is as signaled on the master information block (MIB)—referred to as PDSCH Mapping Type A. A second DMRS scheme can let the UE device know that the DMRS position for the PDSCH carrying the RMSI is the first orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol of said PDSCH allocation—referred to as PDSCH mapping type B).

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards using a frequency-separated band as a supplementary uplink band for a new radio downlink band that cannot operate as a time division duplex band and otherwise has no paired uplink band. The paired bands are separated in frequency, yet operate in the time division duplex mode. The supplementary uplink for New Radio facilitates coexistence with LTE in the frequency division duplex spectrum.

Abstract: A cross link interference (CLI) measurement system is disclosed. The cross link interference measurement system can measure both unconstrained CLI that do not require any special constraints on the frame structure, and constrained CLI that does require special constraints on the frame structure (e.g., measurement gaps). The system does this in part by not only measuring reference signal received powers, but also determining load based on a power scaling of a reference signal and based on angle of arrival determinations.

Abstract: To increase network efficiency, a user equipment (UE) can be appointed as a local manager to coordinate the allocation of resources used by other UEs. For example, the network can promote the UE as a local manager and assign the local manager a resource pool. The local manager can then broadcast synchronization signals to let the other UEs associate themselves with the local manager. After the other UEs are synced with the local manager, the local manager can allocate resources to the other UEs. Based on report data regarding the local managers management procedures, the network can maintain the UE as the local manager or demote the UE from local manager status.

In one embodiment, a device is provided that comprises a processor, and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of various operations. These operations can comprise monitoring a quality of a radio link established between the device and a network device of a wireless communication network based on downlink transmissions received from the network device. These operations can further comprise determining whether the quality indicates the device and the network device are out-of-sync based on the quality being below a defined quality level, wherein the defined quality level varies based on a usage scenario associated with usage of the radio link by the device.
