    摘要: A hand-held programmer is provided for adjusting various functions of a multi-scene, multi-zone programmable lighting control. The programmer generally includes push-buttons for selecting particular scenes and zones to be programmed and for activating any one of the functions to be adjusted; namely, intensity, fade time, and fade delay. An alphanumeric LCD display includes a number of controllable display areas, adjacent to and aligned with the push-buttons, for identifying the names of the selected scene and zone and the function settings associated with them. A cylindrically elongated rotary encoder, having a knurled, rubbery surface, is easily manipulated to adjust the setting of the activated function and provides kinesthetic feedback, so that its adjustment can be coordinated with a visual perception of the lighting scene. A locking type socket receives a corresponding plug for electrically connecting the programmer to a wall station in any one of a number of lighting areas to provide communication between the programmer and the lighting control. Once connected to a wall station in a particular area, the programmer is prevented from selecting scenes or zones in other areas to prevent inadvertent misadjustments.

    摘要: A dimming circuit provides power from an ac source to a compact fluorescent lamp. The circuit generally includes a resonant circuit driven by a high-frequency switching inverter. The resonant circuit is essentially an ac current source and provides sinusoidal current to the lamp, which loads the resonant circuit in parallel. A small amount of dc current is simutaneously provided to the lamp. The resultant asymmetric current waveform flowing through the lamp substantially eliminates striation over a dimming range from about 100% to 1% of full light output.

    摘要: A low voltage two wire dimming circuit comprises a voltage compensating circuit for regulating the RMS value of an AC voltage applied to a load and a correcting circuit for eliminating damaging DC current that may flow through the load. The voltage compensating circuit adjusts the firing angle of an electronic switch disposed in the dimming circuit to compensate for fluctuations in the AC supply voltage. The correcting circuit advances or retards the firing angle during selected half cycles to correct for asymmetries in the AC load voltage waveform caused by excessive DC current. According to the invention, there is also provided a two wire low voltage dimming circuit without voltage compensation but having improved dimming ability at low load currents and improved resistance to the flow of damaging DC currents.

    摘要: A cover and support plate arrangement for a wall mounted device, such as a wall switch, display, dimmer, etc., for mounting to a wall box embedded in the wall and having overall surface dimensions greater than that of the wall box. The cover plate is juxtaposed over the front surface of the support plate and is spaced therefrom to provide an air gap between the cover plate and the support plate creating a chimney through which air currents may flow. The device includes an electric circuit having a heat generating device, such as a triac, which is thermally connected to the support plate and in series electrically with a controlled load. The cover plate casts a shadow along vertical sides of the support plate such that the vertical sides of the support plate are visible only when viewed at extreme angles with respect to an imaginary line perpendicular to the plane of the support plate or the wall in which the device is mounted. The cover plate appears to float from the wall while proper thermal dissipation is achieved through the chimney between the cover and support plate. Means are disclosed for constructing a low profile, conventionally sized family of wall mounted dimmer switches that meet Underwriters Laboratories operating temperature standards.

    摘要: The invention is an electronic fuel control system for an internal combustion engine having a first capacitance which is charged to a value indicative of the engine's speed during a first rotational interval of the engine. At the end of the rotational interval the charge on the first capacitance is transferred to a second capacitance which is further charged at a predetermined rate during a second rotational interval. A comparator compares the value of the charge on the second capacitance with a signal indicative of the engine's load. The comparator generates a pulse width signal indicative of the engine's fuel requirements during the interval the charge on the second capacitance is less than the value of the load signal.

    摘要: An electrical fuel injection system incorporates electromagnetic injectors wired in two groups and which are operated on alternate cycles during low speed and normal operation. With increasing power demands, the fuel injection computer supplies pulses of increasing length to keep the injectors open longer and supply more fuel to the engine. Two trains of timing pulses are initiated by reed switches operated by the distributor, and each is connected to a pair of latch circuits operative to provide timing pulses on one channel through gate devices to one set of injectors and to block pulses on a second channel to the other set of injectors. The subsequent signal from the other reed switch results in a timing pulse in the second channel. These timing pulses are supplied to the fuel injection computer to initiate the injection pulses and to AND gates which also receive the timing pulses. Under high power demand conditions, an injection pulse may become longer than the time interval between the two trains of timing pulses, and hence a timing pulse is overlapped by an injection pulse from the opposite switch. When this happens, the associated AND gate provides an output pulse to one of two additional latch circuits to cause this latch to provide an output effectively blocking one of said channels and switching additional gate devices to enable both channels to be energized simultaneously by the injection pulses in the second channel. The length of the injection pulse is also measured by any of a plurality of disclosed devices such that when the pulse length drops to approximately 40% of the duty cycle, an output is provided which resets said additional latch circuits to cause said circuits to switch back to two-group operation.

    摘要: An electronic fuel control system for an internal combustion engine is disclosed capable of providing an enriched fuel/air mixture to the engine as a function of the engine's temperature and the engine's load during the transient warm up period. The fuel control unit embodies a full load warm up enrichment circuit controlling, in response to engine temperatures below a predetermined temperature and engine loads as determined from the pressure in the engine's intake manifold, the quantity of fuel being delivered to the engine. In the preferred embodiment the full load warm up enrichment circuit is a current sink sinking a portion of the current charging the injection timing capacitor in the electronic control unit to increase the duration of the generated injection fuel delivery pulses.
