The camera includes a plurality of sensors elements configured to acquire a current image of a scene according to a current set of camera settings. A number of sensor elements having a set of desirable properties is measured. Then, a next set of camera settings that maximize an overall number of sensor elements having the set of desirable properties is determined to acquire a next better image.

    摘要: A camera for acquiring a sequence of frames of a scene as a video includes a sensor with an array of sensor pixels. Individual sensor pixels are modulated by corresponding modulation functions while acquiring each frame of the video. The modulation can be performed by a transmissive or reflective masked arranged in an optical path between the scene and the senor. The frames can be reconstructed to have a frame rate and spatial resolution substantially higher than a natural frame rate and a spatial resolution of the camera.

    摘要: A camera includes a set of sensing elements. Each sensing element is arranged at an image plane in an energy field to measure a magnitude and sign of a local gradient of the energy field. Each sensing element includes at least two energy intensity sensors. Each energy sensor measures a local intensity of the energy field. Logarithms of the intensities are subtracted from each other to obtain the magnitude and sign of the gradients. A Poisson equation is solved using the gradients to obtain an output image of the energy field.
