Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for automatically selecting a content provider for delivery of content for consumption by a user. Various selection data such as cost, historical delivery bitrate, and so forth are gathered and a weighting profile is applied to generate a total weight by content provider. The total weight by content provider may be used to select one content provider from another for delivery of a particular piece of content.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for processing input data to determine an entity such as a product, service, user profile, etc. referenced in or otherwise relevant to a semantic context of the input data. Information related to the entity may be provided as an information package (e.g., a card) that is shareable as part of an electronic message. The card may include a representation of a network resource identifier that identifies a network resource, a network location of the network resource, and an access mechanism for accessing a representation (e.g. a product detail page) of the network resource. The network resource identifier may include one or more tags or tokens that identify an electronic messaging application provider and/or a user such as a sender or recipient of an electronic message that includes the card so as to enable compensating the provider and/or the user for a purchase of a product or service to which the card relates.

Abstract: Techniques for performing multimedia communications including audio and video (including still-frame video) are described. During a multimedia communication involving two devices, one of the devices may receive a user input to display digital book covers. In response, each device may display live video (captured by each device of the multimedia communication) and still-frame video corresponding to digital book covers. Thereafter, in response to a further user input, each device may display the live video and still-frame video corresponding to a specific page of one of the digital books. Each device may receive a user input for controlling the still-frame video displayed.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating communications between shared electronic devices are described herein. In some embodiments, a group account may be assigned to a shared electronic device. The group account may include one or more user accounts, where individuals associated with those user accounts may interact with the shared electronic device, and also may form a part of the group account. When a message is sent from one shared electronic device to another personal device or shared electronic device, the message may be indicated as being sent from the group account, as if the shared electronic device corresponds to its own separate account. In some embodiments, speaker identification processing may be employed to determine a speaker of the message and, if the speaker is able to be identified, the message may be sent from the corresponding speaker's user account instead of the shared electronic device's corresponding group account.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to generating one or more presence-event notifications at one or more user devices associated with a user, and transmitting those presence-event notifications to one or more presence server(s). At the presence server(s) a stream of presence-event notifications may be filtered according to any number of predefined criteria, and then the presence-event notifications that have filtered through may be applied to presence plug-ins to generate presence information associated with user(s) for whom presence-event notifications were received. The presence-event notifications may be provided as a stream of presence information to one or more consumers of presence information and/or stored in a presence datastore. A consumer of presence information, such as a service provider, may request presence information associated with one or more users. In response, the service provider may be provided with the requested presence information based on whether that service provider has permissions to receive the requested presence information.
