    Abstract: An example storage module may include an upper support structure, a lower support structure, and a frame. The upper support structure may engage with a corresponding lower support structure of a first different storage module. The lower support structure may engage with a corresponding upper support structure of a second different storage module. The frame may include a first component and a second component. Each component may include an upper portion, a lower portion, and a set of connecting portions. The upper portion may define an upper level of the storage module. The lower portion may define a lower level of the storage module. The set of connecting portions may connect the upper and lower portions. The storage module may also include a set of carrier devices to move in accordance with a movement path and support a set of storage containers.

    Abstract: Sortation systems and methods are described, in which the sortation systems may include a cylindrical sortation tower. The cylindrical sortation tower may include a plurality of sortation levels, and each of the sortation levels may include a plurality of sortation positions arranged around a periphery of the level. Each sortation position may include a sortation container. The cylindrical sortation tower may also include one or more horizontal tracks and vertical tracks, and each of the sortation levels may further include a circumferential track. Shuttles may traverse the horizontal, vertical, and circumferential tracks to transport items to desired sortation containers. Further, robotic arms may remove completed sortation containers from and add empty sortation containers to the cylindrical sortation tower.

    Abstract: An example system includes a conveyor configured to move a plurality of items, a ramp configured to support at least one item of the plurality of items as the at least one item is transferred from the conveyor to a tote, and a platform supported on a support surface and configured to support the tote at a location proximate the ramp. In some examples, the tote includes a base having a top surface defining at least part of an interior space of the tote. Further, the platform positions the tote such that the top surface of the base extends at an angle, relative to a horizontal plane, greater than approximately 5 degrees and less than approximately 10 degrees.
