Abstract:
A technique for controlling set up of a terminating call to a UE in a CSFB situation involving a first MSC paging the UE and a second MSC where the UE is performing a Location Update is described. A method implementation of this technique comprises receiving, from an HLR, a PRN message and forwarding information received in the PRN message to the second MSC.
Abstract:
A method for configuring service settings for a mobile subscriber in a mobile communication network wherein the mobile subscriber is associated with a first instant communication client which is adapted to communicate via an instant messaging protocol with an instant communication server, and wherein the instant communication server is associated to a mobile switching center of the mobile communication network. The method includes: sending, by the first instant communication client, an instant service command via the instant communication server to a second instant communication client, associated with the mobile switching center; converting, by the mobile switching center, the instant service command into a service setting message; and sending the service setting message to a user database to modify service settings for the mobile subscriber.
Abstract:
Embodiments herein include a method of notifying terminals located in a target network area. The method is executed by a call control node. The call control node is associated with a serving network area, wherein the serving network area at least partially comprises the target network area. In order to provide an efficient, easily accomplishable, and network capacity sparing notification of terminals located in a target network area, the method comprises receiving a result of a scanning of a visitor location register database associated with the call control node for terminals registered for the target network area, and sending a notification message to the terminals located in the target network area based on the received result of the scanning.
Abstract:
Techniques of emergency session handling in a communication network are provided, in which a packet switched network control function configured to handle emergency sessions established from a user equipment via a packet switched network access, e.g. an Emergency Call Session Control Function (E-CSCF), is associated with a switching control node of a circuit switched network. The switching control node is capable of handling emergency session established via a circuit switched network access, e.g. a Mobile Switching Center Server (MSC-S) of a mobile network. Handling of emergency sessions established via the packet switched network access is forwarded from the packet switched network control function to the associated switching control node.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of enabling the service level networks (e.g. CSoLTE or IMS CN) to provide location-dependent services based on a circuit switched domain from a service level network to a mobile station communicating with a cell in a radio access network that utilises a packet switched domain. The method includes providing cell location information relating to the location of the cell; determining a Service Area Identifier based on the cell location information; and providing the Service Area Identifier to the service level network. The Service Area Identifier is then used for different location based services and applications in the service level network nodes.
Abstract:
A technique for performing a service domain selection in a communications network having a default service domain and at least one alternative service domain is described. According to this technique, a switching to the alternative service domain involves the invocation of a supplementary service that is provided as a supplement to a basic service. A method implementation of this technique comprises steps of identifying a basic service type associated with a service request; determining if for at least one of an originating side and a terminating side of the service request the identified basic service type is linked with a subscription to the supplementary service of service domain switching; and invocating the supplementary service of service domain switching if a linking can be determined.
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a solution for providing IMS services and in particular mid-call services to users having circuit-switched controlled terminals and being not adapted to provide IMS services to the users. In particular, it is proposed to introduce a new node type called Mobile Access Gateway Control Function (MAGCF). This new node combines the logical functionality of a cellular switching center and the logical functionality of packet-based logic. The invention discusses a concept of the MAGCF handling mid-calls, which comprises identification of the received mid-call request, generating in accordance to the identified mid-call a corresponding message, tracking the status of the performed mid-calls.
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a solution for providing IMS services to users having circuit-switched controlled terminals. In particular, it is proposed, in order to allow IMS to take the full call and service control, to combine circuit-switched and packet-based multimedia functionality in a new node type called Mobile Access Gateway Control Function (MAGCF). In particular the present invention provides a method for ensuring that the MAGCF node acts as a roaming anchor point in order to enforce the handling of originating and terminating calls in the IMS.
Abstract:
A method of providing in a packet switched telecommunications network, for a communications session involving a user of said packet switched telecommunications network a value added service associated with a circuit switched telecommunication network. The method comprises the steps of establishing a first signaling data stream of a first basic call state model of a packet switched dedicated protocol type between the packet switched telecommunications network and a service interface adapter unit, and establishing a second signaling data stream of a second basic call state model of a circuit switched dedicated protocol type between the service interface adapter unit and the circuit switched telecommunications network, based on information from the first signaling data stream, for providing the value added service from the circuit switched telecommunications network. The information is augmented with further information for establishing the second signaling data stream, and for exchanging data between the first and second signaling data stream for providing the value added service to the user through the packet switched telecommunications network.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a method of providing a service continuity of a communication between a mobile terminal (UE) and a service node (AS) within a communications network (CN), the communication network comprising a first radio access network (RAN1), a second radio access network (RAN2) and a switching node (MSC), the switching node (MSC) initiating a transfer request towards the service node (AS), while the mobile terminal (UE) is connected to the application server (AS) over the first radio access network (RAN1), transmitting a notification to access the second Radio Access Network (RAN2) to the mobile terminal (UE), receiving a session transfer number from the mobile terminal (UE) addressing the service node (AS) to complete the session transfer, and establishing a communication channel between the mobile terminal and the application server over the second radio access network. The invention further refers to the switching node, a mobility managing node and a computer program.
