A dispensing piston has an outer periphery sized to seal the proximal opening of the mixing chamber, while allowing the piston to be moved in a distal direction through the chamber, the piston having an opening through which the rod extends, the rod having a stop fixable at a selected location along the rod for engaging and moving the piston distally through at least a portion of the mixing chamber.

The underbody assembly can be formed by securing first and second longitudinally extending, closed channel beams to a plurality of closed channel cross members. Each of the sidebody assemblies can be formed by securing a closed channel lower rocker rail and closed channel upper roof rail to a plurality of pillars. Each of the pillars can be formed by initially securing a first stamping to the lower rocker rail and the upper roof rail, then securing a second stamping to each of the first stampings. The underbody assembly can be secured to the first and second sidebody assemblies by magnetic pulse welding to form the frame assembly.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a node for joining a plurality of structural members together, such as in a vehicular body and frame assembly, is well suited for joining structural members that are formed from differing materials. An insert is provided having a node securing portion and a mounting portion that is adapted to have a structural member secured thereto. A node is formed about the node securing portion of the insert for joining a plurality of structural members together. The insert can be formed from a first material, while the node can be formed from a second material that is different from the first material. The insert can be provided with a node securing portion having at least one aperture or protrusion formed therein, and the node can be formed within or about the aperture or protrusion. A plurality of inserts can be provided, each having a node securing portion and a mounting portion, and the node can be formed about each of the node securing portions of the inserts. The structural members can be secured to the mounting portions of the inserts before the node is formed.
