The emergency services fallback information may also include an indication of whether emergency services fallback via fallback to circuit switched service is supported.

Abstract: Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, an apparatus of a user equipment (UE), comprises one or more baseband processors to derive a dynamic scrambling key, and a memory to store the dynamic scrambling key and a temporary UE identifier (temporary UE ID) assigned to the UE. The one or more baseband processors monitor a paging request for a scrambled UE identifier (UE ID) to determine if the paging request is intended for the UE by unscrambling the scrambled UE ID with the dynamic scrambling key to produce the temporary UE ID. The paging request is intended for the UE if the temporary UE ID produced by unscrambling the scrambled UE ID matches the temporary UE ID stored in the memory. A new dynamic scrambling key may be derived each time the UE returns to a radio resource control idle (RRC_IDLE) state.

The disaster condition may affect a home public land mobile network of the wireless device. The wireless device may perform cell selection in a manner influenced by the indication of the disaster condition. This may include considering cells associated with a forbidden public land mobile network for the cell selection, or excluding cells associated with the home public land mobile network of the wireless device that are unavailable, for example due to the disaster condition, among various possibilities.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and storage media are provided for user equipment (UE) that supports enhanced coverage and may operate with a voice centric usage setting or a data centric usage setting. When the UE's usage setting is set to voice centric, the UE may not operate in coverage enhancement (CE) mode B. When the UE's usage setting is set to data centric, then the UE may operate in CE mode B. The UE may indicate the UE's usage setting in an Attach or Tracking Area Update (TAU) request message, and a mobility management entity (MME) may indicate to an evolved NodeB that CE mode B is restricted or not restricted based on the usage setting. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Abstract: Methods and devices for creating and operating a combined network and computational slice instance (NCSI) in a Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) scenario. Communication and computational resources may be reserved by a NCSI controller for the NCSI. The communication resources may include network slices and the computational resources may include MEC computational resources of one or more MEC servers. The reserved resources may be selected based on quality of service (QoS) requirements of UEs that will utilize the NCSI. During operation, reserved resources for the NCSI may be dynamically renegotiated based on an aggregate load of the NCSI, the QoS of data traffic, and/or updated QoS requirements of the UEs.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode system information including access barring parameters for one or more access categories for accessing a cell of a next generation Node-B (gNB). A network access attempt is detected by a control plane layer of the UE that is higher than a Radio Resource Control (RRC) layer. The processing circuitry map s, using a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) layer of the control plane, the network access attempt to at least one access category of a plurality of available access categories based on mapping rules. The processing circuitry performs an access barring check procedure for the mapped at least one access category based on the access barring parameters. Upon determining that access to the cell is not barred, a NAS message is encoded for transmission to an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), e.g. an Attach Request message to perform an attach procedure.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for managing the provisioning of voice services to a user equipment (UE) in a fifth generation (5G) network. For example, the UE generates a registration request message that includes 5G mobility management (5GMM) capabilities of the UE that are indicative of whether the UE supports voice over internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS), and transmits the registration request message to a next generation radio access network (NGRAN) node in the 5G wireless network. Based on the 5GMM capabilities, the NG-RAN node can determine whether voice over IMS can be provided to UE by comparing the 5GMM capabilities to capabilities of the NG-RAN node.

Abstract: A method performed by a client device is provided. The method includes obtaining, by a client device, data for transmission to a network server. The method includes determining, by the client device, a plurality of intermediate network nodes for transmission of the data, wherein the plurality of the intermediate network nodes are communicatively coupled to the network server. The method includes encoding, by the client device, the data using an encoding scheme. The method includes transmitting, by the client device and according to a data transmission scheme, a plurality of instances of the encoded data to the plurality of intermediate network nodes for aggregation by the intermediate network nodes with data received from one or more other client devices. Also provided are methods performed by an intermediate network node and a network server. The methods can be performed by one or more processors of an apparatus.

Abstract: A computer system that establishes a first registration and a second registration in a common wireless communication system is described.
