    摘要: Re-connecting to a first radio access network (RAN) of a first radio access technology (RAT) may include initially connecting to the first RAN. A connection associated with a voice call may then be connected that includes connecting to a RAN of a second RAT. In response to the voice call connecting to the second RAN, information for both a frequency and a cell associated with connecting to the first RAN may be stored. An end to the voice call may be identified. In response to determining that the voice call has ended, a timer may be generated at the UE that comprises a specified time period and the timer and the information stored for both the frequency and the cell associated with connecting to the first RAN may be utilized to re-connect to the first RAN.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a first authentication request in response to a first triggering request from the UE to a mobility management node of a first Tracking Area (TA) in which the UE is located. In some embodiments, the UE may prepare and store an authentication response according to the first authentication request. In response to determining that the UE has moved from the first TA to a second TA, the UE may abort a sending of the authentication response, and may send the stored authentication response according to the first authentication request to the mobility management node of the second TA in response to the receipt of the second authentication request and in further response to a determination that a given parameter of each of the first and second authentication requests are the same.

    摘要: Systems and methods for managing synchronization of protocol data unit (PDU) sessions between a user equipment (UE) and a network are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a determination of whether a message comprising a PDU session status information element (IE) should be sent is based on previous messaging between peer entities of the network. In some embodiments, a determination that the peer entity is informed of a relevant PDU session status is made after expected reply messaging is received in response to prior messaging. In some cases, a reply message without a PDU session status IE is sent from one entity to a peer entity when it is determined that each entity has a matching PDU session status. Cases involving failures detected at the network, and cases where an entity activates a data radio bearer (DRB) of a PDU session that is inactive at its peer are also discussed.

One example aspect is a baseband processor of a user equipment (UE), including one or more processors configured to determine support for slice based cell re-selection (SCR), generate a SCR information element (IE) that indicates capability support for cell re-selection based on network slicing, generate a registration request comprising the SCR IE in response to determining support for SCR, receive a REGISTRATION ACCEPT message comprising a slice radio resource management information (SSRMI) in response to generating the registration request; and generate a REGISTRATION COMPLETE message in response to receiving the SSRMI.
