    Abstract: Example ultrasound medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device includes a support member having a proximal end region and a distal end region and a sensing member having a proximal end region and a distal end region, the distal end region of the sensing member coupled to the distal end region of the support member. The medical device also includes one or more ultrasound sensors disposed along the sensing member and a support shaft having a first end coupled to the sensing member and a second end coupled to the support member. Additionally, the sensing member is configured to shift from a first configuration in which the sensing member is adjacent to the support member to a second configuration in which at least a portion of the sensing member extends away from the support member.

    Abstract: An implantable fluid operated device may include a fluid reservoir configured to hold fluid, an inflatable member, and a pump assembly configured to transfer fluid between the fluid reservoir and the inflatable member. The pump assembly may include one or more fluid pumps and one or more valves. The one or more valves may be normally open valves, normally closed valves, or a combination thereof. One or more sensing devices may be positioned within fluid passageways of the fluid operated device. The electronic control system may control operation of the pump assembly based on fluid pressure measurements and/or fluid flow measurements received from the one or more sensing devices. Variable voltage can be applied to the control of the pump and/or the valves based on varying atmospheric conditions and the fluid pressure and/or flow measurements processed by the electronic control system.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, an apparatus includes a bodily implant configured to be implanted into a body of a patient. The implant having an inflatable member, a sensor, and a calibration module. The inflatable member is configured to be disposed proximate a portion of the body of the patient. The sensor is operatively coupled to the inflatable member and is configured to detect a fluidic pressure within the inflatable member. The calibration module calibration module is configured to receive pressure data from the sensor and determine when the inflatable member is placing a pressure on the portion of the body of the patient.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, an implantable device includes a fluid reservoir configured to hold fluid, an inflatable member configured to be implanted in a body of a patient, and an electronic pump assembly. The electronic pump assembly includes a controller configured to actuate at least one of a pump or an active valve to inflate the inflatable member, and a pressure sensor configured to monitor a pressure of the inflatable member. The controller is configured to detect a value of at least one at least one fluid transfer parameter for the pressure of the inflatable member to reach a target pressure during an inflation cycle. The controller is configured to generate size capability information of the inflatable member for the patient based on the detected value of the at least one fluid transfer parameter.
