摘要:
A device for detecting cardiac ischemia is disclosed. The device includes a processor that is configured to distinguish between two different heart beats types such as ventricularly paced beats and supraventricular beats. The processor applies different ischemia tests to the two different beat types, and generates alert when it detects ischemia.

The present invention is a wireless power system which includes components which can be recharged by harvesting wireless power, wireless power transmitters for transmitting the power, and devices which are powered from the components. Features such as temperature monitoring, tiered network protocols including both data and power communication, and power management strategies related to both charging and non-charging operations, are used to improve performance of the wireless network. Rechargeable batteries which are configured to be recharged using wireless power have unique components specifically tailored for recharging operations rather than for providing power to a device. A wireless power supply for powering implanted devices benefits from an external patient controller which contains features for adjusting both power transmission and harvesting provided by other components of the wireless power network.
摘要:
The present invention involves methods and systems for treatment of brain disorders using neuromodulation that is provided to modulate structures of brain networks. Treatment occurs using electrical, optical, magnetic, and/or chemical stimulation of one or more brain networks associated with a brain disorder. The methods involve using a brain modulation system (BMS) to increase, decrease, or otherwise modulate characteristics of the regions of the network, such as relative levels of electrical activity or neurotransmitter levels. Treatment can be initiated and adjusted based upon evaluation of functional neuroimaging data for the network and brain network modeling. Linking rules may guide in adjusting the treatment protocol used to provide neuromodulation of multiple regions of a brain network. Novel methods are described for addressing issues of compensation, adaptation, and unintentional modulation due to indirect stimulation that can arise due to connectivity between structures within brain networks.

Systems and methods are described for providing fraud deterrents during e-commerce, e-transactions, and digital rights management and access. One or more fraud deterrents may be automatically selected by a client, seller, bank, or other 3rd party and may be implemented or presented to the client as a potential fraud deterrent option that may be chosen. Fraud deterrent options may be provided which are associated with particular aspects of the transaction including a client's profile, the value of an item, or the preferences of the seller. The fraud deterrent features can be provided as part of a digital shopping cart and may be highly customized by the client including allowing the client to customize conceptual passwords which are presented during subsequent transactions.

A system for the detection of cardiac events occurring in a human patient is provided. At least two electrodes are included in the system for obtaining an electrical signal from a patient's heart. An electrical signal processor is electrically coupled to the electrodes for processing the electrical signal. The systems receives data regarding the patient's state (e.g. asleep, exercising). Patient state information is stored in a patient state array, thereby enabling the system to track the patient's state over time, and to select an appropriate test for detecting a cardiac event based on both past and present data regarding the patient's state.

An illustrative fraud deterrent method includes presenting an identity verification option for a first website displayed in a web-browser, the option including offering a login to a third-party website, unrelated to the first website. The method further includes receiving login information for a first user account on the third-party website and verifying the login information through a verification service associated with the third-party website, to verify that the login information is valid for the first user account, identified by the login information. The method additionally includes verifying an identity at the first website, responsive to the verification.

摘要:
Stimulation treatments for various medical disorders, such as neurological disorders, comprise novel systems, strategies, and methods for providing TMS, electrical, magnetic, optical and other stimulation modalities. Some stimulation methods comprise varying the stimulation parameters to improve the therapeutic efficacy of stimulation and decrease risk of habituation and side-effects such as interference with normal brain, sensory, motor, and cognitive processes. The creation, and subsequent variation, of stimulation parameters can use sensed data in order to match, adjust, or avoid matching characteristics of the stimulation therapy relative to certain endogenous brain activities. Novel methods are described for choosing, creating and subsequently stimulating with partial signals which summate to produce therapeutic vector fields having unique temporal patterns and low- or high-frequency spectral content. Improvements for the treatment of pain are disclosed.

Systems and methods are described for providing fraud deterrents during payment card transactions especially for e-commerce and e-transactions. Fraud deterrents may be selected and configured by a client, bank, or other third-party and provided to a client in customized manners which may be configured on a client's authorized device or otherwise as defined in an e-profile associated with a payment card. Fraud deterrent options may be contingent upon transaction features including a client's profile, transaction value, or other preferences. The deterrent features may be customized by the client and include use of conceptual passwords.
