    摘要: An implantable medical device is configured so that all of the major components including a housing and attached leads are disposed within the vasculature of a patient. A tether extends from the housing of the device to an implant location where the tether is secured to tissue outside of the vasculature. In this manner, an intravascular medical device may be implanted at a location remote from final placement, delivered via the vasculature and anchored at the initial entry point.

In one aspect, a method includes illuminating a data mask with a beam and recording a resulting modulated beam in a holographic storage medium, wherein the data mask includes an information layer that is divided into multiple data pages, and propagating a reference beam to the holographic storage medium to record the multiple data pages of the data mask in a parallel fashion on the holographic storage medium.

    摘要: Multi-layer deodorant applicator sticks are disclosed to be applied to the body of a user to prevent or mask body odor. Each deodorant applicator stick includes a first deodorant composition layer having a first sensory characteristic, such as a particular fragrance, and at least one second deodorant composition layer having a different sensory characteristic. The first and second deodorant composition layers are joined to one another (e.g., within a container) so that the respective first and second sensory characteristics thereof are available to the user either simultaneously or one at a time as the multi-layer deodorant applicator stick wears down over time. That is to say, a customized mixture of the first and second deodorant composition layers having the first and second sensory characteristics can be applied to the body of the user from a single deodorant applicator stick so as to avoid the necessity that the user have access to a second deodorant applicator stick.

    摘要: An integrated bipolar implantable medical electrical lead, which may be employed by a cardiac defibrillator, has a single low voltage electrode and a single high voltage electrode and employs a relatively robust and fail-safe configuration of three conductors. Each of the three conductors extends within an individual lumen of a tri-lumen insulative body of the lead. First and second conductors of the three connect, in parallel, the low voltage electrode to a first contact of a connector terminal assembly of the lead, and a third conductor of the three connects the high voltage electrode to a second and a third contact of the connector terminal assembly. A configuration of the third conductor differs from that of the first and second conductors in order to make the third conductor more susceptible to fracture, relative to the first and second conductors, after many years of chronic implant under extreme loading conditions.
