摘要: A laser beam (L50) generated by a laser light source (50) is reflected by a light beam scanning device (60), and irradiated onto a hologram recording medium (45). On the hologram recording medium (45), an image (35) of a scatter plate is recorded as a hologram by using reference light that converges on a scanning origin (B). The light beam scanning device (60) bends the laser beam (L50) at the scanning origin (B) and irradiates it onto the hologram recording medium (45). At this time, scanning is carried out by changing the bending mode of the laser beam with time so that the irradiation position of the bent laser beam (L60) on the hologram recording medium (45) changes with time. Regardless of the beam irradiation position, diffracted light (L45) from the hologram recording medium (45) reproduces the same reproduction image (35) of the scatter plate at the same position. An illumination spot in which speckles are reduced is formed on the light receiving surface (R) of an illuminating object (70) by the reproduction image (35) of the hologram.

摘要: A non-destructive method and device for analyzing a sample comprising transparent living and/or dead cells, by 5 means of a digital holographic microscope, where the sample (8) is exposed to light from a laser (2). The light that travels through the cells in the sample will experience a difference in the optical path length compared to the surrounding media and the wave front that emerges from the 10 cells will thus be phase shifted. This distortion can be detected in the digital hologram, which is reconstructed from the interference pattern detected by a digital sensor (17), such as a CCD or a CMOS, as phase differences or phase shifts and thereby creating a digital hologram. The 15 phase shift of each element of the hologram is then used for analyzing the characteristics of the cells in the sample.

摘要: A single method and apparatus for producing many of the most common types of hologram from digital data is disclosed. In one embodiment the data are generated entirely by a computer as a 3-D (animated) model. In another embodiment the data are generated from multiple 2-D camera images taken of a real 3-D (moving) object or scene from a plurality of different camera positions. The data are digitally processed and displayed on a small high resolution spatial light modulator (SLM). A compact low energy pulsed laser, which avoids the usual vibration problems encountered at high rates of production and the installation in normal working environments, is used to record composite holograms on an holographic emulsion using a special optical design. The present invention permits the creation of restricted or full parallax master transmission or reflection type composite holograms, known as H1 holograms, that can be copied using traditional methods to produce full or single color rainbow white-light transmission holograms, achromatic white-light transmission holograms or single or full-color white-light reflection holograms. Alternatively the same invention and apparatus permits the direct writing of full or single color rainbow white-light transmission composite holograms, achromatic white-light transmission composite holograms or single or full-color white-light reflection composite holograms without the need to pass through the intermediate stage of the H1 transmission hologram. The present invention allows the creation of a compact rugged machine that is capable of producing holograms covering a large size range. In addition the invention produces holograms that can be tiled together to form composite holograms much larger than the component panels.

摘要: In the method for producing holograms, a plurality of images displayed on a spatial optical modulating element 6 is used as the object light. Through a lens array 7 composed of a plurality of lenses disposed corresponding to each of the images, which are included in the object light, and a reducing optical system 9 and 10 for reducing the object light emitted from the lens array 7, the object light is made to irradiate a recording surface 11 along with a reference light; thereby interference light between the object light and the reference light is recorded on the recording surface 11. Between the spatial optical modulating element 6 and the lens array 7, partitions 15 for separating the respective images are provided; thereby noise is reduced.

摘要: According to one aspect and example, a method for recording holographic media and/or holographic master data masks includes recording at least a first hologram or information layer with a first holographic medium (e.g., a “submaster”) and recording at least a second information layer with a second holographic medium (e.g., a second “submaster”). The first information layer and the second information layer from the first and second holographic media are then sequentially reconstructed and stored with a single holographic master medium (e.g., a “master”). The holographic master may then be used to record the stored first and second information layers into additional holographic media, for example, into HROM devices or the like.
