Abstract: A pancreatic stent includes a main body convertible between a compressed configuration for delivery and an expanded configuration once deployed, the main body including an inner surface defining a stent lumen and an outer surface. A plurality of drainage features are formed within the outer surface of the main body, the plurality of drainage features permitting placement of the pancreatic stent within a patient's pancreas without blocking side branches of the pancreas.

Abstract: Medical devices and method for making and using the same are disclosed. An example medical device may include implantable medical device for use along the biliary and/or pancreatic tract. The implantable medical device may include a tubular member having a first end configured to be disposed within the duodenum of a patient and a second end configured to be disposed adjacent to a pancreatic duct and/or bile duct. The tubular member may have a body including one or more wire filaments that are woven together. The tubular member may also have an outer surface with a longitudinal channel formed therein.

Abstract: Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a catheter shaft. The catheter shaft may include an inner member having a distal region and a deployment sheath disposed about the inner member. A stent may be disposed between along the distal region of the inner member. A handle may be coupled to the catheter shaft. An actuation mechanism may be coupled to the handle for proximally retracting the deployment sheath. The actuation mechanism may be designed to shift relative to the handle from a pre-deployment position, along an early deployment region, and along a full deployment region. The medical device may also include a force reduction member for applying a force to the actuation mechanism while the actuation mechanism is disposed along the early deployment region.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to dual-function medical devices with diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, such as real-time visualization and ablation. Many embodiments may include an ergonomic handle and dual-lumen catheter configured for dual-function diagnostic and therapeutic use during a medical procedure, such as a duodenoscope. The medical device may be delivered within an endoscope working channel to provide real-time visualization (e.g., radial ultrasound imaging) and treatment (e.g., soft tissue ablation) of cancerous tissue. For instance, a first lumen may include a high-frequency linear or radial ultrasound and the second lumen may include a surgical instrument, such as an ablation tool. Some embodiments may include a controller with a feedback loop configured to adjust the therapeutic tool based on data from the diagnostic tool. For instance, the power of an ablation tool may be adjusted by the controller based on data generated by an imaging device.
