摘要: A fluid delivery device and system configured to regulate delivery of fluid through a fluid delivery port to a target site within a patient, such as to identify, locate, dilate, etc., an opening in a tissue wall at the target site. A side port is defined in the wall of the fluid delivery device adjacent to but upstream of the fluid delivery port. If the fluid delivery port is partially or fully obstructed by contacting tissue, the side port provides a relief valve reducing the pressure of fluid from the fluid delivery port impacting the contacted tissue. The fluid flow path upstream of and adjacent to the side port may be tapered to create a Venturi effect which may cause entrainment of excess fluid at the target site into the fluid delivery device. Such entrained fluid may be recycled out the fluid delivery port.

The tool has a tube having a proximal end that is retained by the enclosure, and the tube has an axis of symmetry. A Geneva drive is retained within the enclosure, the Geneva drive consisting of a drive wheel fixedly attached to the rotatable knob and a driven wheel fixedly attached to the proximal end of the tube, so that an axis of rotation of the driven wheel coincides with the axis of symmetry of the tube. Thus, a continuous rotation of the rotatable knob causes the tube to rotate about the axis of symmetry in discrete angular steps.

摘要: A method of providing and processing an ultrasound capable endoscope assembly that uses an endoscope having a proximal and a distal end, and that has been used previously. The endoscope is cleansed to a level appropriate for re-use within a human body. The method also uses an unused ultrasound assembly, sealed in antiseptic packaging, and which includes a multiple signal pathway connector; an ultrasound transducer head including an ultrasound transducer; and a set of signal pathways, extending from the ultrasound transducer to the multiconductor electrical connector. In the method, the ultrasound assembly is to the endoscope, so that the set of signal pathways extends along the elongate body of the endoscope and the ultrasound transducer head is attached at the distal end. After use, the ultrasound assembly is detached from the endoscope and permanently disposed.

摘要: Blockchain environments may mix-and-match different encryption, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work schemes when mining blockchain transactions. Each encryption, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work scheme may be separate, stand-alone programs, files, or third-party services. Blockchain miners may be agnostic to a particular coin's or network's encryption, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work schemes, thus allowing any blockchain miner to process or mine data in multiple blockchains. GPUs, ASICs, and other specialized processing hardware components may be deterred by forcing cache misses, cache latencies, and processor stalls. Hashing, difficulty, and/or proof-of-work schemes require less programming code, consume less storage space/usage in bytes, and execute faster. Blockchain mining schemes may further randomize byte or memory block access, further improve cryptographic security.

摘要: Several embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to medical visualization systems that comprise combinations of disposable and reusable components, such as catheters, functional handles, hubs, optical devices, etc. Other embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to features and aspects of an in-vivo visualization system that comprises an endoscope having a working channel through which a catheter having viewing capabilities is routed. the catheter may obtain viewing capabilities by being constructed as a vision catheter or by having a fiberscope or other viewing device selectively routed through one of its channels. The catheter is preferably of the steerable type so that the distal end of the catheter may be steered from its proximal end as it is advanced with the body. A suitable use for the in-vivo visualization system includes but is not limited to diagnosis and/or treatment of the duodenum, and particularly the biliary tree.

This diagnostic imaging device comprises: an endoscopic image acquisition unit for acquiring an endoscopic moving image showing the esophagus of a person being tested; an estimation unit for estimating the location of esophagus cancer that is present in the acquired endoscopic moving image, using a convolutional neural network that has learned from esophagus cancer images as training data, the esophagus cancer images having been obtained from esophaguses affected by esophagus cancer; and a display control unit that superimposes on the endoscopic moving image an estimated location of the esophagus cancer and a certainty factor serving as an index for the probability that esophagus cancer is present at that location.
