Certain types of injector devices include safety arrangements that inhibit firing of the injector device until front and rear housing assemblies are disposed in predetermined rotational and axial positions relative to each other.

The gripping members (34, 36) provided on the body (3) comprise bearing areas (34a, 36a) for fingers of a user, oriented towards the gripping member (50) of the piston, and the gripping member (50) of the piston comprises at least one bearing area for fingers of the user, located facing the gripping members (34, 36) provided on the body (3). The piston (5) is formed from a single piece made from a material having a Young's modulus greater than 3000 MPa and the piston (5) has no elastic area between the gripping member (50) of same and the substance to be injected.

摘要: A stabilizer arm for a BVM resuscitator and method of use is disclosed. The stabilizer arm provides the necessary support to the reservoir bag to enable the user to exert downward pressure on the BVM resuscitator while simultaneously squeezing the reservoir bag, and creates force that is focused, directed, and realized at the mask of the assembly. Due to the presence of the stabilizer arm, this pressure pushes the facial mask downward to assist in forming a tight mask to face seal. The stabilizer arm may be internal, external or integrated into the reservoir bag wall of the BVM resuscitator and may be retro-fitted or original equipment manufactured. The external stabilizer arm may be designed to engage the outlet port neck of the BVM resuscitator with an open collar or a closed collar. The internal stabilizer arm may be configured to fit BVM resuscitators having single piece or multiple piece outlet valve design.

摘要: A rapid exchange microcatheter for accessing the intracranial neurovasculature. A side opening through the sidewall is located a first distance proximal to the distal-most tip. A proximal opening located proximal to the side opening is a second distance from the distal-most tip. A distal, reinforced catheter portion extends between a distal end region to a point near the side opening. A proximal, reinforced catheter portion extends a distance from a point near the side opening towards the proximal end of the catheter body. The side opening is positioned within a gap between a proximal end of the distal reinforced catheter portion and a distal end of the proximal reinforced catheter portion. A payload of a cerebral treatment device is housed within the lumen proximal to the side opening. Related devices, systems, and methods are disclosed.

摘要: There is provided a cassette unit that is suitable for use with an auto-injector having an electrically powered drive unit. The cassette unit has a housing defining a cassette unit housing cavity and a needle projection aperture. The cassette unit housing cavity is arranged for receipt of a syringe that is suitable for use in the injected delivery of drug to a patient. The cassette unit includes a removable cap that in a capping position fits over and thereby, acts such as to close off, the needle projection aperture. The cassette unit includes a cap lock feature movable from a first cap locking position in which it prevents removal of the removable cap from the capping position with the cassette unit to a second cap non-locking position in which it no longer prevents such cap removal.

摘要: An improved inhalation device is provided for facilitating inhalation by a patient of powder medicaments contained in a receptacle. The inhalation device includes a staple assembly comprising a plunger and staple that are securely and robustly coupled to one another. Embodiments of the inhalation device have a cap that prevents or reduces the amount of dust and grime entering into the device. The cap is additionally configured to prevent or reduce inadvertent and unintentional operation of the device. The body portion and first casing portion of certain embodiments of the inhalation device are sealably coupled, restricting or reducing undesirable flow pathways that have an adverse effect on the operation of the device.
