Abstract:
A method is disclosed for producing small crystal, high aluminum content zincoaluminosilicate crystalline materials having the SSZ-41 framework structure. The compositions made according to that method, as well as uses of the same, are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the disclosure include processes for ring-opening of hydrocarbon species comprising aromatic and cycloparaffinic rings in hydrocarbon feeds to produce ring-opened products. In particular, the process comprises contacting hydrocarbon species comprising aromatic and cycloparaffinic rings with hydrogen in the presence of a ring-opening catalyst comprising a noble metal on a low-acidity crystalline material containing external pockets to facilitate ring-opening of the hydrocarbon species comprising aromatic and cycloparaffinic rings. The processes are useful in the transformation of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) to ring-opened products.
Abstract:
A method of increasing hydrophobicity of a molecular sieve is provided. The method includes: (a) providing a metallosilicate molecular sieve having a framework consisting of oxides of silicon (Si) and a metal (M), wherein M is boron or zinc; (b) contacting the metallosilicate molecular sieve with a liquid aqueous system, thereby obtaining a demetallated molecular sieve having silanol nests and empty framework sites; and (c) thermally treating the demetallated molecular sieve, thereby obtaining a thermally-treated molecular sieve, wherein the thermally-treated molecular sieve (i) retains the three-dimensional framework structure of the metallosilicate molecular sieve and (ii) has a higher Si/M molar ratio as compared to the metallosilicate molecular sieve.
Abstract:
Crystalline molecular sieves and their synthesis using quaternary N-methyl-diisoalkylammonium cations as organic structure directing agents are disclosed. The structure directing agent has the following structure (1): in which R1 is selected from hydrogen, a methyl group, an ethyl group, a propyl group, and a hydroxymethyl group; and R2, R3, R4 and R5 are independently selected from a methyl group, an ethyl group, and a propyl group.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a high-silica form of zeolite SSZ-32x, its synthesis in fluoride media using dipropylamine as a structure directing agent, and its use in catalytic processes.
Abstract:
Methods are provided for the synthesis of molecular sieve CIT-13 having aluminum incorporated into the framework structure and use of such materials in organic compound conversion and/or sorptive processes.
Abstract:
Provided is an improved hydroprocessing process allowing one to realize superior isoselectivity. The process comprises contacting a feed comprised of normal hydrocarbons under hydroprocessing conditions with a catalyst comprising delaminated SSZ-70. The delaminated SSZ-70 has been found to provide unexpected improvements in the catalysis of hydroprocessing hydrocarbons. Delaminated SSZ-70 offers a zeolite layer with a single unit cell of thickness in one dimension, allowing an elimination of mass transfer in comparison with non-delaminated SSZ-70.
Abstract:
Uses for a new crystalline molecular sieve designated SSZ-27 are disclosed. SSZ-27 is synthesized using a hexamethyl [4.3.3.0] propellane-8,11-diammonium cation as a structure directing agent.
Abstract:
Provided is a process of conducting olefin epoxidation which comprises contacting an olefin and an oxidant in the presence of Ti-UCB-4 to thereby prepare an epoxide. The Ti-UCB-4 catalyst is prepared by delaminating a B-SSZ-70 precursor and substituting Ti atoms for the boron atoms on the surface of the zeolite material lattice framework.
