摘要: Disclosed is an electrostatic recording method for forming an electrostatic latent image on a dielectric electrostatic recording layer provided on a conductive support. The relationship between the thickness d[.mu.m] and the specific dielectric constant .epsilon..sub.s of the electrostatic recording layer is such that the ratio of d[.mu.m] to .epsilon..sub.s, i.e. d/.epsilon..sub.s [.mu.m], is not larger than 1.65[.mu.m] when the image recorded is of reflection type and not larger than 1.5[.mu.m] when it is of transmission type. The latent image formed on the recording layer is developed by use of electrophotographic liquid developer. Also disclosed is an ionizing radiation image recording method wherein ionizing radiation carrying image information is directed onto a material which generates photoelectrons or a gas which is dissociated upon receipt of the ionizing radiation to an extent corresponding to the intensity of the radiation. In this method, the ratio of the thickness of the electrostatic recording layer to the specific dielectric constant is selected to be not larger than 1.5[.mu.m] when the image is of reflection type and not larger than 1.0[.mu.m] when it is of transmission type.

摘要: An information processing apparatus for allowing a memory to be added thereto while being powered. The apparatus comprises a processor, a first main memory initially connected, and a connecting switch. The switch connects the processor, the first main memory, and a second main memory to be added. Main memory management information in the first main memory includes the size of memory resources connected to the processor. A storage region in the connecting switch retains information about whether or not the processor is connected to each of the memories. The setup allows the apparatus to use the added memory without having to be restarted.

摘要: A thermal recording system for recording an image on a thermo-sensitive recording medium using a laser beam under a preheated condition of the thermo-sensitive recording medium. In the thermal recording system, a preheating device preheats the thermo-sensitive recording medium which has leuco dyes, a developer and light-absorbing dyes all provided on a support, and which develops color in a continuous tone at a density corresponding to the energy of the applied heat, to a predetermined temperature less than a color-developing temperature. A heating-beam generating device allows a laser beam to scan the thermo-sensitive recording medium so as to heat the thermo-sensitive recording medium to a predetermined color-developing temperature. Thus, the heating-beam generating device can control the laser beam in a sufficient control range, thereby making it possible to record an image on the thermo-sensitive recording medium with high accuracy.

摘要: A logarithmic amplifier comprises an amplifier provided with a feedback circuit, a logarithmic conversion device in the feedback circuit, an oscillation preventing circuit which is provided with a capacitor connected in parallel with the logarithmic conversion device, and a control circuit. The control circuit controls the oscillation preventing circuit in accordance with the current fed into the logarithmic amplifier, so that the amount of certain components in the output from the amplifier, which components are fed back to an input terminal of the amplifier through the oscillation preventing circuit, decreases as the current fed into the logarithmic amplifier becomes smaller. An image read-out apparatus comprises a photoelectric detector which detects light from a recording medium, which light is emitted by the recording medium when it is scanned, and the logarithmic amplifier into which the output current generated by the photoelectric detector is fed. An image having good sharpness is thereby obtained.

摘要: A beam-combining laser beam source device comprising first and second laser beam source sections, each of which includes laser beam sources, a collimator optical system and optical path adjusting elements, and a beam-combining optical element. Each collimator optical system is constituted of lens groups corresponding to the laser beam sources, and a common lens positioned so that the laser beams, which have been radiated from the optical path adjusting elements along optical paths parallel and close to one another, impinge upon the common lens. The common lenses are moveable along first directions parallel to their optical axes and along second directions normal to the optical axes. The laser beams which have been radiated from the first laser beam source section and those radiated from the second laser beam source section are moved along directions normal to each other in the optical paths of the laser beams, which have been combined by the movement of the common lenses of the first and second laser beam source sections along the second directions.

摘要: A shading elimination device comprises a memory for storing characteristics of shading in an image read-out apparatus, a sensitivity adjuster for adjusting the sensitivity of a photodetector of the image read-out apparatus or an image density adjuster for adjusting the density of an image reproduced by an image reproducing apparatus, and a control circuit. The control circuit receives a signal representing the shading characteristics from the memory, and controls the sensitivity adjuster or the image density adjuster to eliminate changes in the output of the photodetector caused by shading in the image read-out apparatus.

摘要: A radiation image reader/recorder which mainly scans an optical beam (2, 22) emitted from the optical beam generation means of a laser light source (1, 21) via a light deflector (4, 25) with a frequency less than a main scanning frequency of 1 KHz, and which sub-scans at a sub-scanning density of more than 2.5 lines/mm, reading or recording a radiation image of continuous halftones. A cover (11, 29) is provided over at least at the optical passage between the means (1, 21) and the deflector (4, 25), thereby preventing the flow of air.
