Abstract: An emulsion polymer comprising: (a) structural units of a specific polymerizable surfactant, (b) structural units of an ethylenically unsaturated anionic monomer, and (c) structural units of an ethylenically unsaturated nonionic monomer; wherein polymer segments of the emulsion polymer that comprise structural units of the ethylenically unsaturated anionic monomer and structural units of the ethylenically unsaturated nonionic monomer together have specific Hansen solubility parameters. An aqueous coating composition comprising such emulsion polymer provides good early water blister resistance.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to solvents for agricultural applications and pesticide formulations. In one aspect, a solvent for agricultural applications comprises (a) a first component consisting of a polar solvent wherein the polar solvent is a sulfoxide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, γ-butyrolactone, or a combination thereof; (b) a second component consisting of a glycol ether, and (c) a third component consisting of an ether ester of Formula 1: wherein R1 and R2 are each independently one of an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an aryl group, wherein R3 is hydrogen, methyl, or ethyl, and wherein n is 1 to 6.

Abstract: An organic/oil mixture used in an emulsion to form micro-capsules of the present disclosure. The organic/oil mixture includes abamectin; a non-polar solvent having a polarity (P) value of a Hansen solubility parameter of 0 to 3; a polar solvent of Formula (I): where R1 is a C1 to C15 alkyl; R2 is either H or a C1 to C8 alkyl; R3 is a C1 to C15 alkylene; and R4 is a C1 to C15 alkyl, where a sum of carbons in the R1, R2, R4 alkyls and R3 alkylene is 8 to 30; and 2.5 to 20 wt. % of an isocyanate, where each wt. % is based on the total weight of the organic/oil mixture and the sum of the wt. % of the abamectin, the non-polar solvent, the polar solvent and the isocyanate totals 100 wt. %.

Abstract: A formulation contains (a) 1-20 wt % of indoxacarb; (b) 10-30 wt % of a primary emulsifier mixture containing: (i) 1-15 wt % of a polyalkylene glycol having the following structure : R1O—(CH2CH(CH3)x—(CH2CH2O)y—H where R1 is a branched or linear alkyl having 4-16 carbons; x is a number from 0-11 and y is a number from 1-20; (ii) 5-15 wt % of an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer hydroxyl terminated on both ends and having a molecular weight of 2000 to 8000 g/mol and an ethylene oxide moiety that is 40-60 wt %of total copolymer weight; and (iii) 1-10 wt % of sodium bisulfate adduct of bis (2-ethylhexyl) maleate; (c) 1-15 wt % of a non-aromatic methyl ester co-emulsifier; and (d) 10-70 wt % of a solvent consisting of cyclohexanone and at least one additional non-aromatic solvent; where the composition is flee of aromatic solvents, amides, silicone containing components and azone.
